HomeSolo allows users to check on relatives, parents, children, or friends who live alone through automatic alerts that are sent at a pre-determined time each day. The user simply presses a large "check-in" button on the home page at the designated check-in time (set by the user). If the user misses a check-in, the selected contact is notified after 10 minutes by text, and by a phone call after 20 minutes.

Brilliant (and free)
I am so delighted to find this free app! It helps me live independently, confidently and securely – and all without a monthly fee. In particular, I appreciate that I can set convenient time(s) of day to check in, can delete a check-in if my schedule gets busy, and there's no fuss or bother to any of my contacts – unless there is a real emergency. Thanks!!!
A month of hell.
I was testing the app to see if it was appropriate for a family member. Seemed glitchy, but fine enough. I deleted the app. However, that doesn’t stop the alerts. It kept texting me 4 times a day about my alert and calling my brother daily...
I reinstalled the app, but found that it had no way to recover a password or login information. After weeks of trying to work with an unhelpful tech support and customer service, they have been unable to remove my data from their system, so every day... 4 texts and a call to harass my brother. They still aren’t getting back to me about stopping it.
There are much better apps than this one.
I was worried about my pets in the case of sudden illness or death, and this app gives me peace of mind. I check in every morning and if I do not, a friend is alerted and will check on me. Simple and easy!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
