HopeWaves is the best way to check the waves on the go in Rhode Island. It displays the latest HD snapshots from Narragansett Town Beach, keeping you in the loop with the current conditions. It also features 6 day forecasting from NOAA WaveWatch III (RhodyCast), tide information for the current day, and live buoy data straight from NOAA buoys. All of the tools you need to track down the current swell in one easy to use app.
Easily swap between buoy locations by clicking the location in the Navigation Bar!
When you're busy, the new today widget gives you the current status of the buoys and tides straight from the notification center! Note: You can click the "Update Time" at the bottom of the widget to force a refresh if it hangs.

Finally an app that doesn’t over inflate my hope for waves
As I write this candid review during the summer doldrums of flatness, I truly appreciate an app that doesn’t try to push false hope and unrealistic expectations of wave sliding for increased ad revenue. Thank you for helping me keep my East Coast expectations low and therefore actually enjoying myself in 1-2ft and “surfable” - catch you in the splish splash

My go-to app for surf forecasting in RI
There are obviously a lot of sites and apps for surf forecasting in Rhode Island, but none of them have what this one does. Loads of data perfectly arranged in a simple user interface. It had everything I need and nothing I don't. Simple and effective. It's the first and last place I check for surf forecasting in RI.
