Crashes on iPhone 14 – Needs Urgent Memory Fix
I really want to enjoy Horizon Walker — the art style and gameplay are fantastic from what I’ve seen. But unfortunately, the app crashes consistently on my iPhone 14 (iOS 17.5.1), usually right after launching or during early gameplay.
After trying everything (updating iOS, reinstalling the app, clearing storage, disabling iCloud/Game Center, even testing clean installs with no saved data), the crash still happens. I dug into the crash logs and found that the issue appears to be a memory access violation (EXC_BAD_ACCESS in _platform_memmove), which likely means the app is trying to access or move invalid or corrupted memory during startup.
This could be due to a corrupted save file, a rendering asset, or an incompatibility with iOS 17.5.x — but it’s clearly a bug in the app’s memory handling. Other users on Reddit seem to be experiencing the same issue.
Suggestion to the devs: Please review the app’s memory allocation and error handling routines — especially during startup and loading screens. The crash is happening on the main thread, so it's likely something critical like asset loading or save syncing that's going wrong.
Looking forward to playing again once this is fixed. I’ll update my review when the patch drops!
Crashes on startup
Much like the title, I load it up, I press play, I sign in, I get to the point I’ve made my name and have the tutorial to play, I press either play or skip and it just crashes, I have my graphics set to medium to lower crash risk, I have enough space on my phone, im on an iPhone 12 like seriously I never have this much trouble with these games, on occasion some may crash and then they don’t for a good while, this one just crashes constantly, can’t even pass the tutorial after making my name, needs a fix asap otherwise get your pc version completed since you have the mobile done already.
Shut down error
Good afternoon it’s 5:00 pm in California where I’m reporting that I can’t login/start the main function. After I turn on the app it asks me to login through my apple account and once I login it shows the animation where it’s continues on but instead shuts down the app. What do I do? I am a previous player on the Samsung side of mobile device gaming. I was hoping to be to login to that account again.
