Merchant Loft 504

We stayed in the beautiful 504 1 bedroom apartment. It was very modern. All the appliances you need for a home away from home stay! Coffee with sugar and cream. Pots and pans, cups plates, full sized fridge, dishwasher. Large tv in living room, sofa that opens to a bed, with an extra slide out bed, so you can easily fit 3 kids just on the sofa. The bed was very comfortable with a large closet! The bathroom was HUGE and stocked with soap & shampoos! There is a terrace on the 7th floor to sip drinks or watch the morning skyline. There is also the designated smoking area up there. I’m a travel agent and I travel all over the world. I didn’t receive any discounts for this review. Also, the location is great for walking to Canal Street, Bourbon Street, the Riverfront and the French Quarter! $200 deposit and $75 cleaning fee.

Creekside Rv less HOSTEEVA would be perfect

We arrived after midnight. We were assigned Lot 17, but someone was already there. We attempted to reach HOSTEEVA, but with no success. An owner of one of the lots saw our confusion and came out to us and asked if we booked using HOSTEEVA. They explained that this is a regular occurrence and suggested we pull in to an empty lot with the HOSTEEVA sign since it would have full hookup for us. After we did this, I contacted HOSTEEVA again pleading with them to make sure we would not be staying at a lot that someone else was assigned to and have to move. We went to lot 50 and I told them this. After 2 am someone from HOSTEEVA contacted us and said they show were are assigned to Lot 17. I told them everything all over and they told me to just stay at Lot 50. When I initially booked this, I was told checkout was 12 noon. When they sent confirmation for Lot 50, they said our checkout time was 10 am. I have never stayed anywhere with such an early checkout. The grounds are beautiful and it’s close to so many things with just a short drive. The only problem I have is with the booking. In the future I will contact owners who rent spaces and try to make reservations through them and I will NEVER use HOSTEEVA again. There were no apologies for this and no special commendation for this unnecessary stress.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Booked a whole house for a few nights to celebrate a graduation. I don’t live in Louisiana but I am originally from there so I still have a LA state ID and phone number. Booked through AirBnb and was confirmed. One hour before I was supposed to check in the company says that due to a new policy implemented the same day I would need to pay a security deposit to them which was not listed on their Airbnb listing and is also against Airbnb’s policy. Turns out the deposit they wanted was $500 which is outrageous especially one hour before I was supposed to check in. I asked the customer service rep if there was anyway to avoid it and was told if I didn’t want to pay it I could just cancel the reservation all together. Extremely rude to tell someone cancel when traveling for a deposit that was not disclosed anywhere in writing ONE HOUR BEFORE CHECK IN. I reluctantly paid the $500 deposit which I was told would be refunded 48hrs after check-in. The actual property was decent but not perfect and had some imperfections which I documented on video just to be safe. When we finally checked out....THEY DID NOT RETURN MY $500 DEPOSIT! I called the customer service and was told they would need to speak to a manager and that it should be ok and to just wait. Subsequent calls I have made have been unanswered. I had to call both the BBB and AirBnb to try to get my money back. NEVER BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!
