House Builder 4+

Only used the free, lite version yet but it looks seriously promising plus, a great thing is that it's a fixed price rather than subscription. Wish there were options for pavement outside, road surfaces and textures too, so that one can get a better sense for the buildings etc. Then again, maybe they have that but I've not seen it. Plus, that's a feature that not many of these types of apps have to begin with.

Overall, it feels promising and this may be the app I go for.

Perhaps not the intended user, but I use this app to make dungeon layouts for D&D, as well as daydream about houses I can never afford. Very easy to make new rooms, resize them, angle the walls, add pillars and so on. Though there isn't a tutorial to walk you through at first, it's still pretty intuitive once you try out the buttons to see what they do. Can't say I could recommend this for the professional (not being a professional myself), but for a fun afternoon of house-planning, it's definitely worth it!

Nice tool to use when looking to get some ideas to paper, most of the items are locked though until you pay for the full version. It would be nice if you had some basic furniture items unlocked that could help you design a little easier.
