Stop driving around in circles! Use ConnectSmart to search real-time parking availability near your final destination and pricing. If you’re type A and like to plan ahead, you can always search for parking in advance of your trip. Seamlessly navigate from the parking garage to your final destination.

Houston METRO Ticketing

There’s never been an easier way to take Houston’s public transit. In addition to guiding you door-to-door on your route, ConnectSmart allows you to seamlessly buy, store and redeem tickets on METRO including bus and lightrail.
- You can purchase transit tickets at any time through the app’s Wallet feature. Digital tickets are safely stored and can be activated and used to board METRO directly through the app.
- Ticket purchases are seamlessly woven into the trip experience. You can plan a trip on Houston METRO, see which bus lines and routes are includes, purchase new tickets or even use tickets already purchased through your wallet.

Carpooling Made Comfortable

Looking to save money on high gas prices and avoid traffic? Form your own private carpool groups with people you know and trust including family, friends, coworkers, and classmates and get alerted when someone’s trip matches up with yours. If you’d like, we can even find the perfect carpool companion for your upcoming trip and pair you up with someone heading your way.
ConnectSmart also has the ability for women to request female-only carpool groups to help ensure a greater level of comfort and security during your trip.

BCycle Integration

You can check real-time BCycle rentable bike availability at stations nearby and the number of empty spots on docking. Once you have your bike, you can enter your destination to view bicycle-specific travel times and routes in trip planner and get turn-by-turn gps directions through the bicycle navigation feature.

Amazing & A Must have

This app is a must have for those that are visiting or even residing here. Easy tool to help me plan and map out my commutes in Houston from being able to locate bike-shares and even allowed me to purchase the bus and light rail tickets from the app! They also have other great features from roadside assistance to finding parking spots.

Needs improvement.

This app does a good job of putting all of the services from the various traffic agencies in Houston under one app. There's a good bit of planning involved in what the developer has achieved here and it's pretty impressive to say the least. All that said,I believe the application could use some updated maps since there are a few instances where streets that don't exist are skewing suggested routes. I've also noticed that seeing walk speed preferences don't change the projected time it takes to walk to a bus stop. There's a lack of live bus arrival updates, something the default apple maps app handles really well and sometimes bus routes don't even show up as an option when apple maps suggests them readily. Overall this is better than the metro app but not by much. I also use this app for cycling directions and with the exception of the times when it tries to send me down roads that aren't there, it works pretty well in this cycling-hostile city.

As you mentioned, we work with many regional agencies to deliver the most accurate routes possible, but sometimes a road closure may slip through the cracks. At the end of every trip, you can provide a rating and leave a note regarding the route -- sharing your feedback there will help us greatly as we continue to make improvements. Feels like in-beta

I try to use this app as often as possible. There are some problems for sometimes it will not open. Additionally, there are times when I have to log in multiple days in a row for us with my other apps on iPhone, they open immediately. I really want it to open when I click the app. I think that when it doesn’t open, requires me to sign in again, that means a new update has been sent out. Not sure just a guess.

I’ll keep using it trying it out, but when I am leaving town, I’m gonna be using my Apple Maps.
