Whether you’re simply looking for a new rug or planning a top-to-bottom room renovation, Houzz should be your first stop. It’s got a huge selection of furnishings, accessories, and lighting you can purchase with Apple Pay, but it's also full of photos to inspire your projects. A helpful community of users can lend a hand with suggestions, or you can connect with a contractor, designer, or landscaper right from the app to help make your home-improvement dream come true.
I absolutely love using this app especially when I’m decorating a space and I’m facing a problem that I need help with such as a long narrow living room, tiny bedroom, etc. I also get inspiration from the plethora of photos of every imaginable design style. I highly recommend this app to all my friends when we discuss design and decorating ideas.
Thank you very much for your review!
Although our plans are in the infancy stage, I love using house for current color and style ideas. I am also paying attention to the consistency of the designs of reoccurring professionals so when I am ready to begin my renovations I will feel comfortable reaching out to them.
Thanks for the 5-Star review!
Thanks for the great site! I’m doing a basement renovation and this I add my number one place for ideas and inspiration. It shows me all sorts of different possibilities. And when I find something good it helps me to take the next step by showing me the name of the color or what contractor was involved.
Thank you very much for your review! It is delightful to hear such positive words and it’s always a pleasure to serve our users.
Suggest being wary to order from them. Ordered $3000 worth of items from them two weeks ago. Still hasn't arrived. It has surpassed their shipping timeframe. Offer no cancellation. No compensation and cannot even tell me when it will arrive. This has now pushed my project back over a week. They said if I want a refund I will have to pay for shipping... even though nothing has left warehouse. Would go with Home Depot or wayfair if you like ordering online.
We are sorry to hear about your experience! Please reach out through https://help.houzz.com and our team would be happy to assist.
I’ve been getting harassed by different contractors every week since hiring a professional from Houzz to do my remodeling two years ago. Houzz share your information online and kept them for years in the name of “providing contractor information for the work”. I hate all these cold calling mails and I think it is unethical how much houzz share my information to contractor. They know my address, my name, and my phone number, and different contractors keep calling me. Not to mentioned the contractor and his work i hired 2 years ago from houzz provided horrible service. Overcharge, bad quality work that is showing lots of workmanship defects after 2 years. Very disassisfied with the service and the app. My only request now is to delete my account and stop sharing my private information! I just want these nightmares to stop.
It's refreshing when an app lives up to the ratings! This app has been so enjoyable to use; I have been using it to help decide on some paint colors and new furniture placement over the last few weeks, and, since then, mostly for sheer viewing enjoyment. It is a "snappy" app, with almost all of the functions responding quickly. I have two technical improvements to suggest: 1) The product section is the only part of the app which is slow and cumbersome. (Cumbersome because it's slow, really. Slow, as in it freezes up, or feels that way, and feels that way consistently.) 2) Much less a problem, perhaps a bit of a bug, is that when one edits the name of a idea book, the name doesn't take effect immediately, and will often show up as "null" the first few times when adding a photo, and then as the original title in the list. It seems the new info won't show until the app is fully closed and then reopened. Overall, however, I still give it a five-star rating, as it works really, really well, and I can see it just getting better. Now, if users could just be trained to read through other questions first before asking the same question as someone else, and to not expect a photographer to know all the answers about a project that the designer or architect might know, LOL!
