That’s why we want you to know the facts. HPVCancerFree was created specifically for Texas Children’s Pediatrics (TCP) parents… to learn more about the HPV vaccine and how to get it for your child. HPVCancerFree is a collaboration between researchers and healthcare providers at Texas Children’s Pediatrics, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health, and Baylor College of Medicine. HPVCancerFree contains information about: • HPV infection and diseases caused by HPV • The HPV vaccine – its purpose, safety, and effectiveness • HPV vaccination schedule and recommendations • Talking to your child’s pediatrician about the HPV vaccine • How to get the HPV vaccine for your child Features include: HPV A-Z: Learn more about HPV and the HPV vaccine. Bust a Myth: Get the facts on some common myths about HPV and read what TCP pediatricians and parents have to say about these myths. Notes 4 Doc: Record questions you have for your child’s pediatrician about the HPV vaccine. Get the Vax: Set up an appointment to get your child vaccinated and schedule vaccine appointment reminders. Funding for this app is provided by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT).
