You, as a part of our community, will have access to Hawaii's largest network of shared vehicles, including 170 cars, trucks and SUVs at 65 locations across Oahu. Find us in neighborhoods like Waikiki, Ala Moana, Kakaako, Manoa, Downtown Honolulu and Kaimuki.
How Hui Works:
RESERVE - Open the Hui app and select the location, date and time for your reservation. Then, view available vehicles near you.
DRIVE - During an active reservation, your smartphone becomes your digital key to unlock and lock the vehicle. Push to start and off you go!
RETURN - Park your vehicle in its reserved spot at the station location where you picked it up. Lock the vehicle and end your reservation. Your account will automatically be billed for the time you booked.

HUI? Yes, please!!!
Where do I even begin to sing HUI’s praises? From the get go, HUI has maintained 5 stars in my book. I had been visiting my new grandson in Kapi’olani Medical Center. A couple days before his discharge (yay!) I considered renting a car to run errands and do some shopping. This is when I ran into Kimberly, the awesome car share coordinator who was manning an informational table. After hearing all the perks this service had to offer, I rented one of the vehicles for two hours. Well, ya know how things can get on O’ahu, and I kept calling support to add a few minutes, an hour, and ultimately ended up renting the vehicle at the 24 hour day rate. The support was incredible!
In addition to all the perks I remember being told about, a major plus was not having to pay for parking at the hospital. I went in and out many times, and this saved me a bunch of money.
*Side note: I fell in love with the car and will look into getting one for my teen drivers. :)
I have been trying to reserve a car to use for the past 2 days… I have been approved and verified by the verification team about 2 months now just didn’t need a car until this memorial weekend. You can say I was been prepared as I know the verification process takes a couple days. Well I updated the app as recommended and when I first signed in, it asked for me to upload my drivers license and verify my address again. No problem doing that.
Tried to reserve a car which was available and the app tells me I need to Upload my drivers license to my profile to start. Unable to locate my profile page like it was on the old app. Called customer service (5/30) on memorial day (yes I know maybe not open) but someone answered and unfortunately could only forward my problem to another team who would need to handle my problem. No timeline on when someone would get back to me… Fast forward to this morning, still unable to reserve a vehicle with the same problem going on. Called customer support and again was told they would forward my concern to the verification team. Advised that I was already verified and just needed a car for a couple hours today…
Nothing I can do but wait for a call back or my problem resolved… Not off to a good start with Hui, and I really wanted this to work.
Superb customer service and support
I had multiple issues with the app, gas card and late fee charge due to not ending my reservation on the app. Called app support team and left a message, immediately they texted me a response and check if my app was updated, which it was. Updated it, issue resolved. For the gas card, I couldn’t immediately locate the one in the vehicle, so I used my cc and sent an email with a copy of the receipt, I received an response immediately with a refund credit to my cc. For the late charge, I thought it would automatically end on the reserved end time, apparently not, so I was charged a steep late fee. Called customer service and they applied a credit to my current rental. Overall, easy to use and great customer service. Cars are conveniently placed all around Honolulu. Would highly recommend.
