Amazing... but one fault!
Learning Japanese was once thought to be an impossible task to me…Not any longer. My wife is Japanese and she has been hounding me to learn it for some time now. I have tried three different audio disk/mp3 type teaching aides, but they all just focus on memorization. This app actually teaches you the mechanics of the language. By the seond day, I was able to write and properly pronounce all the vowels, the K series, G series, S series, and the Z series. I start the T series today. It may seem weird to be able to write and spell a word before you know the meaning of it, but I enjoy this approach. I get to show my wife the progress I am making, and she is very impressed.
This is after only my second session, but the app gets 4 stars. Why not five? It is because the built in Japanese dictionary/term search is EXTREMELLY limited. I feel like the only terms included in the dictionary are the ones used specifically in the teaching of the program. If this could be expanded to a full Japanese dictionary, than this would be a 5 star app all the way.
A true guide
Good education isn’t simply “taught.” The best education resources lead you in the right direction as you fill in the blanks. Human Japanese is one of those great education guides I’m glad I purchased.
Everything here is very well organized, tiered and weighted, but don’t simply click through the slides. I would highly advise you to buy a stack of notebooks and some mechanical drafting pencils. Spend a good deal of time on each chapter. Learn it. Then do it again. And again. The sound combination reviews in the early chapters are indepsensible for gating and checking your progress.
I have been to Japan many times at this point and there is no substitute for immersion when it comes to langauge studies. But this program is absolutely indepsensible if you are coming from an English-speaking background. Just get some notebooks and fire up a kana keyboard for your iPhone. Practice makes perfect.
Best App In My Opinion :)
This app is awesome i cannot beleive how easy it was for me to learn with this program i love everything available theres a lot for me to do with this app still but for the first few lessons i've study i knew it was the right one so i really really reccommend this application to everyone out there it is very helpful and it doesnt only teaches you Japanese but also gives you a short cultural Japanese story in case you know little of Japan,a lot of lessons to learn from so theres is no way you wont learn but everyone is different but it shure is helping alllooot :) i have been true 3 ways to learn Japan but this app is not confusing like the other ones ive tried,i like the simple step by step and how it gives you more explanation in details it is very good overall, highly recommend it & good luck to all who is learning this language with this app or others =^:^=
