Great tool for job search
I loved Huntr as soon as I started using their web application and I was really happy to see that they had made a mobile one too. There are tools built in to the app that let you dive into your job search and add them while you’re browsing. Really effective technology because it has let me spend every off second I have scrolling through lists of job postings. I just wish the web view was designed a little more user-friendly, the buttons for saving and navigating the webpages back and forward are on the bottom of the screen where my home button is on the iPhone XR.
If a company name is required, how do Recruiters?
I’m really confused about how to use this without filling up my board with a bunch of test company names. It works really really well for everything else! I have been pleasantly surprised. Especially with the chrome extension. It wasn’t explained well but it works really well.
Desktop🔥, mobile app 😓
Huntr is a wonderful tool for organizing your info for job hunting, and putting all important info - JDs, notes, contacts, etc - into one place.
BUT - the mobile app is only useful for managing existing entries. The browser plug-in is far and away the BEST feature of the platform. With the click of a button, I can create a Huntr entry from the JD I am on. Sadly, that functionality doesn't exist when you are using the LinkedIn, Indeed, Otta, etc apps.
So kinda stuck on still using a spreadsheet to enter new applications, then transferring to Huntr whenever I land at my desktop.
