Hushmail 4+

Not great

I’ve been using this app for years now and while it is convenient, it’s pretty buggy and no-frills. I’ve contacted them a number of times about the fact that there is often difficulty connecting to their servers and my response is usually that I need to restart my phone or delete the app and re-download it. I’ve also recommended that they have an option that you can print your emails from the app, but I got a very generic response thanking me for my feedback and that they are “constantly updating their product”, yet this is still not an option. Imagine that in 2024 you can’t print directly from your email app on your phone!

Longtime User Disappointed by Recent Update

I’ve been a loyal Hushmail user for over 7 years and have always been extremely satisfied with the service. Throughout this time, I’ve consistently recommended it to friends and colleagues due to its reliability and security features.
However, the recent update has completely changed my experience for the worse. The iPhone app now crashes constantly, making it virtually impossible to use. This level of instability is absolutely unacceptable for a premium, paid email service that users rely on for their daily communication needs.
I’m genuinely puzzled why the company would release such an obviously unfinished update. For a service that charges premium rates, users have every right to expect a stable, functional product. The current state of the app is simply unprofessional and falls far short of the standards I’ve come to expect from Hushmail over the years.
I sincerely hope the development team addresses these critical issues promptly. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend this service to anyone, despite my years of previous satisfaction.

Technical support great but app not so much

I’ve been using Hushmail for a couple of years and I really enjoyed having the convenience of using the app while on the go. I also enjoyed being able to have more than one account linked on Hushmail due to having a contractor email as well as my own personal business one. However, lately I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall continuous the mobile app because my reply emails remain either in the Draft or Outbox mailboxes and I’ve used both Wifi and Cellular data but to no avail I’ve had to instead reply to emails from my laptop which cancels out the purpose of using the app for the convenience. If Hushmail could work on this issue my rating will go from 1-5 stars. Otherwise the customer service has been wonderful on occasions when I had to use it due to browser issues.
