Ultraball no longer works for me in El Capitan, so I sought a replacement, and this is my favorite. In some ways I prefer it - interesting, varied, well crafted, good gameplay.
If you uncheck the option to show a custom cursor, it seems to work better in full screen mode. With custom cursor activated, if you move the pointer to the top or bottom of the screen it will show the menu bar or dock, plus you can see it moving across the center. Either run in windowed mode, or disable the custom cursor.
This game is awesome
An edge of the seat, heart pounding game
I have yet to grow board with this game. Beautiful graffics
Worth every cent
This takes the Arkenoid type game to a whole new level with obstacles that move, fade in and out of existence, rotate, swing, etc. The graphics and ambience is totally cool, music is relaxing, not annoying. This games gets pretty wild sometimes. I've had about 30 balls flying around at once. Explosions, fire balls, phantom balls, flame throwers, machine guns, and so on. If you like the block buster type games, you will love this. Also, there are four different kinds of worlds: Ancient, Hi Tech, and two others.
I am using an old white Macbook with OS X 10.6, 2 GHz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM and the game runs without a flaw.
The only negative is the business with the mouse cursor - you can move the mouse cursor outside of the game, even in full-screen mode, and activate the desktop menus. It is an annoyance but not a deal breaker by any means. Looking forward to the patch and more levels!
