Kismetech, developer of Way of Dreams, Inspired Natural Wisdom and other top Lifestyle apps presents the internet's most popular I Ching with a searchable journal! Based on Kari Hohne's top selling book The Essential I Ching, her translation captures the original nature emphasis behind the Book of Changes or Yi Jing.
Each interpretation reveals how nature can teach us about the human journey, and includes quotes from the Taoist masters of ancient Chinese philosophy. Diary entries are date and time stamped and include topic and answers with lines, and are searchable by topic, hexagram or keyword. The Search section also includes a complete list of Hexagram Detail Pages with all line changes and high resolution photos of nature.
Hohne has also authored a popular translation of the Tao te Ching and traces the wisdom and similarities found in all ancient texts on Taoism. Each Hexagram includes the Zong Gua and Hu Gua for additional meaning derived from the Nuclear and Reversed Hexagrams. For further insight on line meanings, line interpretations also refer to correlating Hexagrams generated by the specific line change.

So glad for this app!
I'm so happy this app has come out with one of my favorite translations ever. And it has more than I can ask for. It saves readings, the readings are searchable, the images are gorgeous, it has changing lines as well as special notations for when there is no changing line. You can also browse the hexagrams by number. Thank you for this app!
Great text but no hexagrams
I love the translation and interpretation of the text on this app, and I find the interface clear and easy to use. I haven’t seen the changing line errors another user complained about, and while I do see card repetition, I’m not convinced it’s a programming glitch or choice, as opposed to random. My only complaint is that once you click through from the initial hexagrams, you can’t see the hexagrams again! There’s no resource in the app that shows the lines, trigrams or hexagram progression, only the corresponding numbers and names. The hexagrams are at the core of understanding and interpreting the I Ching. Sure, show the curated corresponding images selected, but please also show us the original to learn from and refer back to! Fix that, and this would be a five star review.
This app has a lot of errors. Anybody that knows the I Ching will spot them right away. This app occasionally gives exact opposite advice with “changing lines” changing lines don’t always match up with the actual changing lines. They will say the opposite lines changed based on readings, and give u the messages for that instead, of what it’s supposed to be. And A LOT of repeating messages. Even a lot of the same repeating cards. If there’s 64 initial cards, I should be seeing a lot more variety, instead I often get the same combinations, usually on the same day. If you do this by hand, and I have many times, it’s better/more accurate to do, and I’ve never once experienced repetition. Weird. Especially as sold under the guise of a divination tool. One star.
