Did you know the scoreboard booth usually has a heater underneath its table? As the perfect mum or dad watching all your kids' Ice Hockey games, be the one setting the ambiance for the team AND being where the heater is! Talk to the scoreboard guru and offer to play music during the games. Nothing simpler, get the app, setup your playlist with the perfect start time for each song, and plug your phone to the rink's audio system. That's it! All the kids will vote for you to play at all the games now. You will see, the time at the rink will fly and you will be looking forward to the next game like never before and you will never freeze again. I wrote that app for my son, it changed the way I see rinks now. The team was even convincing home teams we were visiting to let me play music for the travel games!
This is the perfect Dad's app for Ice Hockey Entertainment music management and playlist. Play Pump up Songs, Face Off, and Crowd Power Up to cheer up for your team.
24 songs included in this version of the app. These songs by Audionautix and Kevin MacLeod are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution license. The 36 buttons of the app can be reprogrammed with any of your own songs from your iTunes library. (Horns, Organs, ...).
The latest addition is a full screen of your best team teams' Horns! It comes included! If I am missing your favorite team, contact me on instagram @HockeyDJApp.
12 suggested links to iTunes titles which will pump up your kid's team.
Every button is customizable and can be set to point to the songs you own in your iTunes Local Library (No need for iTunes Cloud Subscription). You can purchase more screens if you want, up to 15 extra screens giving you a total of 216 customizable buttons.
The cool thing about the buttons is that you can set you own starting time per song, placing the play button at the best moment of the song to have a maximum effect on your DJ skills and for the please of the parents and players at the rink.
The "Horn" and "1min Left in the game" buttons are also customizable, and now you can recall the previous song after playing a goal announcement.
Via InApp purchase, you can record your own voice for quick announcements and set on the "1min Left Button" (or on any other buttons).
With additional inApp purchases, you can play announcements for Penalties, by selecting : The voice, the player, the team, the time and type of penalty. Then you just need to press the ready and play button. With version 5.0 and above, you can also record player roster names. This will be played on demand when you announce penalties. You can even use it to record your own announcements and play them on the rink speakers as you would play any songs from the app.
Disclaimer : Copyrighted songs (120 suggested) are not included in the Apps. This latest version will let you use your iTunes Cloud Music Subscription to select your songs. From the Settings screen, you can find a button to pre-load each screen with specific startup time for each song.
New Feature which allow you to undo the configuration of your last button if you did a mistake.
Ratings and Reviews
I have been using another app for the last few years, but unfortunately, it has not been updated in awhile and stopped working recently. I just downloaded this one and set up the playlists. One thing I’d like to see is dedicated buttons for goal horns and other sound effects that always show at the top of the screen. That way, I don’t have to use a dedicated button in each period for the horn. I know you can switch periods pretty easily, but it would be easier if it was just on the screen all the time.

Hello, this is an interesting suggestion, I will see how I can fit that on the screen. Did you see that you can customize the “One-Minute-Left” button and assign a horn sound? This is the button just left of the play button. This button is the same on all screens. This is in fact how I ended up setting up my screen for my son’s games :-)
Contact Link for Support?
I’m a hockey mom in the US (Michigan), and we love this app for our home games. I just wish there was a way to contact the developer for support. I need help with something, but I cannot find a contact link.
In short, I manage the game scoresheets and the music. Listed on page (period) 1 there are 2 goal horns which were pre-loaded with the app. One sounds like a ship horn, the other a siren. Both have good music mixed with the horns. Our team likes both goal celebrations, and we use them for every scored goal. But if it’s late in the game and I’m page 6 or 7 it is difficult for me to quickly navigate back to page 1 to hit the goal button. I’d like to repeat both horns on each page so I can find the button easier and without delay. Is it possible for me to duplicate these horns on other pages, or can you send me the files so I can add them to my Apple Music?
Thanks for your time and help.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, this is well appreciated :-), I will look at providing a way to reuse embedded songs on different buttons. In the meantime, here are the app goal horns mp3 files https://hockeysongs.laurentbutre.com/Goals.zip . You can import them in your iTunes catalog , sync with your phone and then set them up to whatever buttons you wish. If you want to contact me directly, you can do it via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
A good start to what could be something really special
I bought this today for my daughters first game of the season. Navigating the app and uploading the music were easy enough and it got good reviews from the audience at the game.
That said this could be so much better:
-There’s a built in goal horn which is nice for the home team. However if I just started playing a song and paused it, the place where the song was paused is completely lost if you want to use the goal horn and then go back to the paused song.
-Second, there’s an add-on for announcing penalties which is great because our rink does not have a microphone. However, there’s nothing like this for the goals! Parents always complain they don’t know if their kid was involved in a scoring play or not and it seems like it would be so easy to use a similar method available for penalties for the goals to announce the goal scorer and assists.
-3rd, you can edit a song’s start point, but not the end point. Would like to be able to cut both ends as needed.
I hope these 2 improvements are coming in the next update as this looks like it could be a great app for parent djs to do music for their kids games.

(Update Nov 8) - I have released a new version with the Horn recall last song feature. Let me know if that answer your need.
Please contact me at email@example.com
I should be able to implement them in a future version.
For the goal announcement you can do that with the Microphone option. This will let you record your sentence and play it back, therefore announcing goals.
