Do you Skype the same person frequently? Create a home screen icon that will open Skype and call that person automatically.

Have an icon that stands out too much on your home screen? Simply make your own shortcut icon for that app and hide the original icon (Supported apps only).

-Create shortcut icons for 85,000+ supported apps
-Create shortcut actions for 250+ supported apps
-Lock your icons to stop other people using your apps
-Edit your icon by drawing, rotating, zooming
-Download any image to use in your icon
-Share your icon with friends for them to use

What makes us different to other home screen shortcut apps?

Most apps need to send the information for your icon to their servers to generate. Iconical works 100% on your device.
Some apps state that your icons will stop working if you delete their app. Not with Iconical. Everything needed by your icon is embedded within the icon itself (Unless you are using locked icons).

Not bad but could use some variety.

Just a note it would be very nice to see support for more popular apps specifically gaming like for an example pocket Mortys and not 1000 links to Snapchat that I don’t even have o.O support for more apps would definitely get a 5 star rating! This is the app for people that want to change their icon skins without the usual bookmark stall.

Developer Response ,

Hi, Each app has to be manually downloaded and checked for support. I have looked at Pocket Mortys for you and you can make a shortcut using the URL pocketmortys:// if there are any more you would like me to look at, just give me a shout.

The free version works great but...

I would give five stars for the way the app works. It is very user friendly and you can use your own website URLs in addition to the thousands in their database.
But: #1 there are very few websites that I visit more than a few times and thereby need to have them on my home screen as icons. #2 there are only a very few Icons on their database that I can used to replace replace the ones that I keep on my home screen. (perhaps six or seven of the 50 or 60 that use)... for those two reasons I would give perhaps one or two stars. So far the overall rating, as an average, my Rating is three stars.
I hope the Developers will find a way to replace the apps that are bundled in my iPhone to start with, with the great icons that I would like to create for myself.

Thank you for your review. Have you tried the Iconical App Store share extension to check if some of your apps are supported? It provides a quick way to check if an app is supported and if not supported it'll send us an email to check it out. Every app has to be manually downloaded and checked by us for support.
To use it, search your app in the App Store, then press the share button and select Iconical.

I was really excited to get this app. I went through and changed a bunch of my icons after I paid to get it. But it is so annoying to have to go through a pop up window and tell it to open an app every time I click on the shortcut. Yes, I want to open that app. You don’t have to ask me every single time. It ends up taking longer to open the app with the shortcut than if I had clicked on the app itself. Love the idea of being able to customize my icons on my iPhone. I don’t know if this is just a thing with Apple phones or what, but it got so annoying I just stopped using it. Not to mention the dozens of blank black windows it left open in Safari each time I opened an app via the shortcuts. If any of these things change in the future I’d be happy to use this app again, but until then I’m afraid I won’t be using it.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately Apple added the pop up window in the latest iOS update. I am always looking for better ways to launch the shortcuts and will update if I find another way.
