Could use some attention

No updates for over a year. The link to support is the developer’s blog? Entirely in Italian with no obvious way to select English to figure out just where the support might be. It is probably an abandoned app like so many here on the app store.

The developer says to give him feedback but it is unclear how to do that as there is no mechanism in the app to do it and I already mentioned the website without any English option.

So here is some feedback as well as my thoughts on the app. App is simple and does one thing (changes the color of icons) and seems to do it just fine. It is good the app is simple because like so many apps on the app store, there is no help file. You can save favorite colors, first you select the color you want by clicking the colorwell at the top of the UI, which opens Apple’s Color Picker, then click the plus sing in the bottom right of the UI and it adds a new colorwell at the bottom. This works fine, it just took a little clicking to figure it out. Your only choice for color display is Hex, and you can’t change it to CMYK, RGB, or HSB, etc. Hex is obviously good for people doing web design but isn’t all that useful for many other things. A Preferences menu with the ability to select how to represent the color would be nice. You drag the icon(s) to the grey portion of the UI and it will change their color. It is unfortunate that you can’t change the color of this background, light colors just don’t contrast well with it and grays are of course invisible to nearly invisible. There should be a Preferences option to change this “drop=-zone canvas” to user selected color. The top of the UI is brilliant white and bottom black. I have a preference for Dark Themes as I have three monitors and Dark Themes are just a lot easier on my eyes. Some people don’t like them. I think there should be Preference menu option to choose a light or dark theme that is consistent across the UI with the exception of the drop-zone canvas. Some icons are small, it would be nice if there was a slider along the side or at the top that would increase or decrease the size of the displayed icons.

By the way, this app is working fine on High Sierra. If you need to change the color of icons with very few clicks, at ninety-nine cents this app is worth it. If you need to change hundreds or thousands then there are faster ways - this app has no scriptability or services associated with it.
