Cantina‪‎‬ 17+

In a recent update y’all took away our ability to have private ie, “Invite Only” rooms.

There have been a few issues with them anyway.

1. When we saw people in the Invite Only rooms they were labeled as “Secret” when the word Private would suffice.

2. There are legitimate reasons why we want those rooms to be Invite Only. But when people saw Secret or even Private as the label then people felt left out.

3. Now after one of the updates, just prior to Oct 2024, we can see people we follow in those rooms. The option is now available for us to “Ask for Invite.” If the admins are paying attention they can INSTANTLY deny and therefore reject us instantly. It has unnecessarily caused problems when people simply want a place to speak without interruption from trolls and doxxers who are allowed in some of the other rooms. And they shouldn’t even be able to see the room and definitely shouldn’t be able to ask for an invite. There’s a disconnect between the old rules and the current version.

4. The doxxers are still around because most of the reports we send in on repeat offenders seem to go ignored.

I have been on Cantina for nearly a year. It is such a user-friendly app & set up quite nicely. At one time I was having audio problems. I could hear the members of the room but they couldn’t hear me. I worked with Ivan from Support on this issue. He never gave up on me. He honestly cared about making sure I had a stellar Cantina experience! Within a short time, my audio issues were resolved & I couldn’t have been happier. It was such a good feeling knowing that Ivan was going to keep going until it was fixed! The whole team is supportive & couldn’t be nicer. They engage with the members which helps to keep the lines of communication open. It’s a great social media platform where friendships are made & fun is never-ending!!

I loved Cantina at first, everything about it was practical and high quality. I mean, I’ve been using it since it was airtime. However, after many updates, it fails to work well (even on my iPhone). Every time I attempt to present something in the chat, it says there was an error on the video that occurred. It says that for every video I attempt to do including the ones I posted in the past. For the other person watching in the chat everything works well. But for me, it has been showing me error after error for weeks now. Now I thought maybe I just needed to update it, nope nothing. I restarted my phone and nothing has changed. I even deleted and Re uploaded the app and it keeps giving me an error. I would love if you guys fixed this bug because I enjoy cantina more in comparison to other public streaming apps. However, if this doesn’t get fixed soon, this is an app I won’t be coming back to :(
