Love Kate mysteries!

I have played almost all of the series of games plus a few of the others (library, spacecraft), and I enjoy them all! I don’t usually need to use the hints but occasionally find myself stuck. I like that you have to use your brain and think in order to solve the puzzles. With A lot of similar games, when you click on something it automatically solves the puzzle. I find these puzzles relatively easy to solve, after I’ve thought a few minutes about the clue. The only thing I wish were different is if all of the clue choices were laid out (or the game knew where you were in need of help) and I could get help on the specific place I needed help. Many times I have gotten past parts 1 & 2 of the “hints” and only need the last part, but have to use my stars to purchase the hints leading up to the final hint, when I have already figured those out. It wastes my stars! Other than that, I find the map helpful, as long as you pay attention to the places you have been, so. You know what building is what, Kate says where you need to go so you can find your way through the map relatively easily. Thanks for all the Haiku games! I will continue looking for new ones as they come out!

Such fun

You know those reviews that tell you: I never use the hints” or “ l finished it in a day”? Well, this review isn’t one of those.

I use the hints regularly and I have been playing for several days and just completed chapter 2. Real life gets in the way of moving faster, at least for me.

The story line is kind of fun, but let’s face it, one does not expect classic literature. The puzzles are what is fun, for me. Many I don’t need hints, allowing me to feel really smart; others not so much. The puzzle resets to the beginning if it is not completed. There is another opportunity to feel smart, one can race up to where the puzzle was left.
When an action is correct the action is frozen so I don’t waste time trying to put other parts together when it is already done.

Energy buys hints, or actual money. Energy refills could be offered daily, developers. Also, sometimes things are stuck in storage, frustrating. The pool balls took for flippin’ ever to complete, wouldn’t move and wouldn’t go in the pocket the first 3+ times. A fix here would be great. At any rate, that is a negative for me. Overall, this good entertainment for busy people who have a bit of time here and there.

Thanks for all the hard work.

So far, so good!

This is the first of these type of “casual” game I have tried as an app, as opposed to playing them through Big Fish, for example. It’s been a long time since I’ve played one at all, so I’ve had a lot of anticipation.

So far, this has been fantastic! Really well beyond my expectations. Like one of the better Big Fish offerings, and no ads in sight thus far (I’m into the … third location? I want to say…maybe the fourth.). Puzzles are unique and just the right amount of difficulty thus far. Some head scratching but no rage-quit in sight. I am very picky and usually end up uninstalling a game very soon after installing. This one I think I will finish! Nice job.
