The best anime app. However.. (pt. 2)
I wrote a previous review, explaining this issue. It prevented me from watching episodes. I started re-watching "My Hero Academia" recently. One of the episodes wanted me to have premium in order to watch an episode. I thought it was just a glitch and moved on to the next one, seeing if it had the same problem. Unfortunately, it did. Addressing this issue again was very annoying. Knowing the developers should've fixed it. Why would you have to subscribe to watch an episode? The ads were already enough. I'd prefer longer ads than having to pay to watch something that's only twenty minutes. Especially since every episode in a series is important to me. Even just missing a twenty to thirty minute episode, you miss a whole lot. This app can be very ridiculous sometimes. I enjoyed it while it lasted. I'm not thinking of leaving this app permanently, I just think I'm gonna have to find another app to watch anime on. The more this issue appears, the more I believe some people working on this app aren't working hard enough.
Sorry for the bad review, I just felt like I had to get it off my chest. There is still a good side to this app though! That's why it's still a four out-of five star to me. The many different kinds of anime on here are amazing! Definitely recommend this app.
Not sure if anyone else is having the same issue as I am. Maybe it's a glitch? I don't know for sure. Please fix it. Much appreciated!

Very Buggy and will not work with not hold settings
I got this app to watch a different spectrum of anime vs crunchyroll, and the selection of shows is great and the computer web browser is good, but this app, has bugs and issues galore, every time I see an update, they don't go away, they seem to get worse. I try to watch shows in simulcast and it keeps going to uncut even after you select simulcast, If you select closed captions in settings, every single video you still have to select it anyway, which on the computer you don't. The stability as well has issues, I will close the app, and it will still play audio even if the phone is locked, up to about 30-45 seconds. If I hard close the app, not just click out of it, audio will still play for 10 or so seconds. It also seems like the closed captions get desynchronized every few videos if you watch a few in a row and have to restart the player to rid yourself of the issue. I really hope they fix these problems because the layout itself it pretty good and the shows are great.
UPDATE: Funimation did an update and fixed most of the problems I have talked about, great job developers! There is one bug that started recently where you cant always watch new episodes of shows because it says you have to subscribe, but it doesn't bug me all that much so I am updating my rating from two to four, five if that last bug is fixed.

Sabotaged unless you subscribe
I have no problem watching OTHER streaming services, but this service is so terrible it has to be deliberate. It’s as if they’re punishing you for buying their overpriced discs and daring to watch online. Constant disconnects, warnings purchase not available at this time, and warnings that episode is only available to premium subscribers make watching any purchased content impossible!
If you do luck into a stream, there’s a good chance it will be full of ads (even if lets you watch an episode without them at first) before eventually crashing and losing your place. Losing your place not only means having to fast forward risking getting stuck watching ads and then crashing before you get back to where you were, but some episodes simply won’t load from the menu meaning you have to start from an earlier episode and try to make it back to where you first dropped. Funny, the ads never crash or drop out.
Honestly, you’re better off trying to watch your purchases content from the free side of the app with ads as if you never bought it, assuming the episodes are available. So odd how the free with ads goes so smoothly compared to My Library.
Another annoying feature of this app is its tendency to send you to visit the website on Safari where a banner tells you to download the app. Seriously, the app sends you to the website that tells you to use the app. Obviously no one tests this app, so it’s no wonder nothing works properly.
