Please delete this app

I’m just a thirteen year old trying to get on with life. I have a limit of two hours and I only actually used two minutes of it today but I left it unpaused and brought my brothers to the zoo, came back took a shower, and now my time of two freaking hours is gone when I only used two minutes. Even if you delete the app it still works, there is no way to get around it without it sending a email to a parent, my parents are on vacation so I can’t ask them to enable it, I cant text friends or ANYTHING. Someone please tell me a way to get out of it or if you are a creator of ourpact or something then honestly you said you were fixing bugs and adding more control for parents, but seriously the only thing you did was add stress on children, and if parents want to limit screen time, JUST FREAKING USE SCREEN TIME. It’s honestly embarrassing that I have to call my friends and say, “sorry, I can’t text, my parents blocked it” like I get it for like 7 year olds who all they do is sit on the couch but I am a pretty athletic kid I play volleyball and I’m litterally doing chores all the fricking time and they still feel the need to do this. It just brings me more far away from my parents and I straight up am against them for this, ourpact doesn’t help family’s out it makes them go distant. I want to take down this app. I NEED to take down this app. And you know what, my parents are probably watching me write this right now, THERE IS 0 PRIVACY.

My Experience with Our Pact Jr.

For context I’m 15 years old and my parents have Our Pact on my iPhone SE (2nd Generation). I’m dislike Our Pact, I typically don’t enjoy when my phone gets blocked but I’m not here to complain about that. I want to suggest some quality of life issues that I think should be fixed or worked around somehow. The first thing is the app itself. Our Pact Jr. is not a great app in terms of user experience, the app often freezes or crashes and often when installing an app, it takes multiple restarts for it to show up in the app organizer making the process of just downloading an app laborious. The second thing about Our Pact is it’s lack of customization. As of IOS 14 iPhones became a lot more customizable with the introduction of widgets and app icon customization. Even though it’s been almost two years since the update released at time of writing (November 14th 2021), Our Pact still has not added support in the app organizer for this fairly basic feature. This might be because of how the app blocks the phone but I still would like to see it in a future update. The last thing is just kind of a personal nuisance but it’s still a problem. Web Links that are saved to the Home Screen won’t show up in the app organizer. So I can’t move them around and put them in the places I want to put them in. Anyway, those are my gripes about Our Pact Jr. that I hope will be fixed at some point. Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a great rest of your day

Umm hi bruh ,

At least you have screen time

Ok I read the reviews on this and almost all of them are one star 😂 but I get why parents would want us to have this, it’s mostly so they make sure what we are doing isn’t bad and that we aren’t using too much time. I mean before you write a review you have ya at least look at why your parents actually got this. I mean look on the bright side at least you get screen time. I know some of your parents might not give you a scheduled time but STILL at least you have a phone. I get an hour a day and that’s fine with me but just I get a lil mad when it blocks me so one thing I’d want you to add is a reminder so when you have thirty minutes left, fifteen, five, four, three, two, and one minute left. So I know when I am about to be blocked. So then I can finish the important stuff i was going to do. I have parental controls on my Nintendo switch, computer, and my phone. And OurPact is the only one that doesn’t have a reminder. I hope you consider adding this. And also the people that are complaining that they have OurPact on their phone, why are you writing a review that you are mad that you still have it? Like how is writing a review going to help you? If you want it off the only way you are going to be able to get it off is to talk to the person that put it on there.
