I have never taken the time to write a review. But Cooking Diary is AWESOME!! I absolutely LOVE cooking games so I’ve played my fair few. This is definitely one of the best. Sure, maybe when you start off it seems hard to earn enough money or gems to do anything, but that’s the beauty of it- the game doesn’t charge you tickets or energy just to play a few levels. I’ve spent hours and lost track of time playing this game because there are SO many things to do! There is always a new Food Truck, Creighton’s Challenges, Guild Quests, special events to earn extra gems/money, not to mention that now with COVID going on, they issue you a FREE unlimited lives for 4hours, when you log in each different day! It’s a blast. I have not gotten bored yet, and I’ve only gone through 10 of the restaurants. I can’t even say “gone through” because the levels for each restaurant are basically infinite- I’m at 234 on one shop with no end in sight that I can see. Plus on the map I can see there are a TON of new restaurants that I haven’t even made it to yet. I really don’t know how anyone can gripe about this game, it is AMAZING.
My one teeny tiny issue though- my wheel of fortune has seemed to disappear?? I can’t find the wheel anywhere. I know it’s still a part of the game because my guild mates keep sending us prizes when they hit the jackpot. But I haven’t been able to spin it because there’s no button!! Anyways that’s my small issue but other than that I love this game.
You can’t hate this game
This game is so enjoyable people will say it’s just a cooking game but when they download it they will be crazed about how awesome the game is the\y will get invested with the shocking storyline and unlike other cooking games other than this 1 has a storyline you can upgrade your restaurant and you don’t just stay in 1 restaurant while the characters in the game has personalities so you get attached to some of the characters and the events are amazing they are in the storyline and makes the game way more fun and the challenges of some of the customers like the forgettable customers the impatient and the 1 that can’t decide on their order make the game more challenging while other cooking games probably have just regular customers and some of them just stay and don’t leave which makes the game way too easy and some cooking games they might have the impatient customer but no more different customers other than them and I didn’t even mention the fact that you can change your character in so many ways is so fun and if you get tired of playing the game and just want to chillax you can join a guild and talk to people online while other cooking games require internet but you just play the cooking game without any chatting and just the game so in total this game is not just a game but it’s a book a chatting place and a cooking game so it’s a 3 in 1 essentially so I give this game 5 stars I would recommend this to everyone
This game is very enjoyable and I got addicted fast. Like many other games you have a usual coin currency and then a special ruby currency. You need rubies to upgrade ingredients and appliances which isn’t a problem at first because they are relatively easy to come by when you first start. Now it’s still possible to get rubies but it takes a lot of time (unless you’re willing to throw some money at the game) and the amount of rubies rewarded doesn’t feel worth the task given for the amount of time and levels you’d have to play to get them (like serving 1150 plates of one dish for 5 rubies). Also I don’t understand why the coin currency changed when you make it to the next map. Now I’m not using the original coins for anything but still collecting revenue from those restaurants. I suggest an option to be able to exchange coins for rubies, that way the coins don’t go to waste as I’m not using the ones from the first map and I’ve already gotten more than enough in the second one. The only thing I’m falling short on in this game is rubies which is frustrating when you need them for all of the upgrades, especially when the next restaurant requires more coins and rubies for upgrades. The amount of coins you earn increases but the rubies adversely become harder to obtain. At the least I would like if the ruby rewards were higher and/or the ruby requirements for upgrades were lowered.
