Basic app could be better with more tracking

I’m using this with my Exerpeutic Gold975XBT recumbent exercise bike. It connected easily but had difficulty reconnecting after I backed out of a workout. Going back to the home screen on the bike and waiting a minute seemed to fix that so I’m chalking it up to a Bluetooth quirk.

The app itself works fine. It’s much easier to set up a workout using the app vs. using the LCD screen on the bike. 3 stars because it only tracks a few stats in reports, despite having access to a lot more information, and the interface is kind of clunky like having the password change form on the home page instead of under the profile and the stat selection buttons covering the graph on iPad.

I would also have loved to have a historical record of all my workouts (or even the last 30 days) similar to the summary screen. I have to remember to screenshot the summary or I lose all the details of the workout.

Dear Westeri,

In order to resolve the issue with the bluetooth quirk permanently Please close all Apps running on your device. Please use the most recent updated App. Re-Launch MyFitQuest 4 and connect to your machine. If the problem continues or you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-866-924-1688 or service@paradigmhw.com we are available 8am-5pm PST. As per the design information regarding the LCD screen we will provide this information to our design team for possible future changes on units. Have a wonderful day.

App didn’t work

I was unable to register in order to use the app. I was able to fill all fields but when I got to “country”, I click on”country” and the app would crash and close. I tried registering without entering “country” and it wouldn’t allow me to register without entering that field.

So…unfortunately I was never able to try the app.

Happy with app

I have been using v 1.6 on a recumbent bike for 2 weeks now. Once I learned its peculiarities, I found it to be useful.
Namely:
*Be sure to log in on your device when the exerciser is at its home screen, such as U1 or U2.
*The exerciser screen is disabled for input when logged in from your device, although status and counts are updated.
*Only sessions with goals set are accumulated to the report screen. Quick start and manual are not.
*Distance is accumulated to reports only when a distance goal is set. Distance is not accumulated for calorie or time goals.
*The distance accumulated in a report is 0.62 of the distance achieved in a session. I have the exerciser set for imperial units.

The reporting function is really nice to have to show progress. The color screen of the app, while for the most part only repeating what is on the exerciser, is easier to see , especially on a tablet.
I have used the app on an iPad and on a iPhone, both function as well.
Last, the ability to multitask allows music, reading, podcasts and other such diversions while accumulating my exercise progress.

One star off for not logging distance well, otherwise works well.
