Igloo is a modern IRC client that supports lots of IRCv3 extensions and works flawlessly with all your favorite networks like Freenode, Snoonet, Rizon, EFnet, and all others. It has a very simple UI and lots of great themes to choose from. It is the only IRC client on iOS to support DCC/XDCC downloads that get synced right to iCloud Drive so you can access them on your iPhone/iPad in the Files app or on your macOS computer right in a folder called "Igloo". We've also added some extra modifications to improve your experience when using a bouncer such as ZNC, and we even support the IRCCloud bouncer.
This client has it all! If you think of something we haven't please let use know and we'll add it!
• SASL Authentication
• ZNC Integration (with push module https://znc.iglooirc.com)
• DCC/XDCC support (receiving only)
• File/Image/Audio/Video sharing (via Arxius.io, Imgur.com, or your own custom host)
• FaceID/TouchID protection option
• Input completion for channels, nicks, commands and emoji shortcodes
• Now playing script with support for Apple Music and Spotify
• Inline nick coloring
• Inline media
• Full formatting and colors
• IRCv3 Compliant
• Pretty themes
• #igloo on irc.iglooirc.com
• Moved support network back

It gets the job done
Good free client but you will get bombarded with notifications you don’t want and don’t need. Heaven forbid you let your connection time out to non activity. I switched to another (paid) IRC app but I used this one for a long time and aside from the notification spam I think it’s a good app. If you want a free IRC this is probably one of the best.

Hey there. Thanks for the feedback. Igloo was only free in the beginning during it's early phases, it's now a paid app. The notification you're referring to is to let you know that Apple is about to kill the app (they have a rule where apps can only live for 30 seconds now - previously 3 minutes until iOS 13). That notification can also be disabled in settings at the bottom in the notifications settings, there's a toggle for "Background Timeout", just disable that and it'll stop it.
Do not recommend
Igloo has a lot of potential but is plagued by a difficult to use interface, frequent hangs & crashes, and is unreliable in general. On top of that the developer is very toxic going as far as calling his own paying customers “idiot”.
Only support is through an IRC channel which must be accessed by more reliable apps just to get help. And if you do manage to reach it for support, make sure you are a fast typer because you will be banned just for failing to respond in time or asking what a specific command does, then you have no other way to contact the developer for assistance.
There have also been accusations from multiple parties that the developer eavesdrops on personal information which is a big no no.

Maybe you're just an idiot. If you're crashing it's something you're doing, I haven't crashed in nearly a year now, and if your app is freezing you must be using a really old device. As for the accusations, that's just freenode staff making things up because they are a bunch of incels. You can monitor network traffic sent to our servers and see there's no data being collected at all. Anyway, if you ask for support, follow what you're told otherwise you won't get help; that's just how the world works. How do I know you're not running a version of igloo from a year ago on an iPhone 4 if you don't type the command I ask?
Replaced my other IRC client, worth the money
I am a longtime Colloquy user, but it's been struggling a bit since iOS 13 was released. This app is the better of the two after a week or two of use, with a much more intuitive interface and more frequent updates. Great work!

Glad you like it.
Any suggestions you may have are welcomed, just hit the support button in the settings page :)
