Gladiator Rising 12+

At first glance I was underwhelmed, but currently i’ve beaten this game at least 5 times and it has completely grown on me.

Its cliché to say, but honestly this game has so much charm.. and even though I couldn’t recommend it to most people, I absolutely love it..

I dunno if it’s just all the cartoon references, casual sense of humor, or the simple yet slightly cryptic mechanics.. but at this point, I don’t think I’ll ever delete this app from my phone.

p.s. After you beat this game, you can keep going but eventually you will slowly die from running out of food, or armor&weapon repair... if only we could continue buying these items from the shop, the ‘endgame’ could go on until you lose a battle.. instead of starving to death with a thousand dollars in the bank :p

As fun as the game is, it is plagued with poor user control, quitting to the desktop bugs, useless skills, poor replay rewards, and inattentive developers. You will find yourself accidentally wasting items, sometimes necessary ones, just because you accidentally tapped it or tapped outside of the prompt box. At any given time, the game can quit to the desktop, which happens quite frequently. Most of the skills available to train are useless turn-wasting charge skills that can ultimately lead to your death, or attack skills that you would never waste a turn using if you have a spear to throw, which are cheap and plentiful. You will find yourself recreating a character over and over just to make sure your warrior can choose a starting skill that isn’t solely meant for a wizard or rogue. The gems that are acquired after every playthrough can purchase items to start with in the game, most of which are low-level quickly replaced items, making the replayability almost null. Finally, the developers have not updated the game in 8 months, and don’t plan to it would seem.

I’m sorry to all you fanboys, but the idea of this game is far better than it’s very poor implementation. This game deserves a 2 at best, and although I enjoyed playing it, it will only leave you with a disappointed feeling in your stomach over what this game COULD have been. 2/5

Why is my game constantly crashing now? When i first downloaded this game, it worked fine and smoothly with no delays whatsoever. After a few days, however, i cant even get past the first skill selection without it crashing on me. Also, why is it that every time my game crashes in the middle of the first fight it decides to literally skip three days that could’ve been more productive? I iust want some answers. This wasnt a problem when i first installed the game, now every time i start it up, it overheats my phone trying to create a new game every time with no other apps active in the background. Even my Background App Refresh is disabled and i still have this problem. Please fix this right now.
