Whether you are a time starved consumer, or a personal chef or personal concierge that wants to make extra money in your spare time, you should sign up with Giggin,’ the time saving social experience that connects customers with personal chefs and personal concierge services.

Americans have a love of food, but this love of food doesn’t necessarily translate into a love of cooking. Many people want to sit down to a nice home-cooked dinner at the end of the day. But they’re far too busy and too inexperienced in the kitchen to make that happen. They eat out a lot, often going to local restaurants or take out venues on their way home from work, behavior fairly typical of their demographic. Many don't feel equipped to cook due to lack of time or skill. These time starved consumers also are too busy to take on other tasks as they find themselves a part of a decade long decline in leisure time. 28% of Americans don’t know how to cook. These time starved, stressed out groups break down into the following segments.

Family households with children under 18 years old. This group of people is generally busier than other families with their time split between work, home and their children's activities. This group may be single parent households, which only adds to the stress resulting from lack of time, coupled with the need for proper meals for their children. This provides them with a desire to provide their families with good meals and free time to enjoy being together.

Family households with no children living at home. This group has a need for meal services and time saving services, as hectic schedules, professional careers, and daily demands on time come up against the need for tasty, healthy meals and family time together.

Single individuals whose working schedules make it difficult for them to spend the time to shop for groceries and cook meals. Their schedules make it difficult for them to perform many other tasks.

Individuals and families that want to celebrate special occasions and events or occasionally just may not want to cook. They also have one time needs for concierge services.

Instead of bringing ingredients to your location, Giggin’ brings chefs to you to cook the food of your choice at your time and location of choice. Event chefs provide single event demand food preparation for that special event or when you just don’t want to cook or don’t have time to cook. These chefs prepare the meal and clean up afterwards. If desired, you can request they provide a cooking class to teach you how to prepare a specific meal. This process saves your time that you can apply to more productive activities. Working with local food sources, the Event chef can provide fresh ingredients to enhance this social experience.

Giggin’ also brings Personal Chef’s to your kitchen to prepare multiple meals based on your unique health and dietary needs as assessed by a health and dietary analysis. In addition to saving time, the Personal Chef saves you money by eliminating food waste and using their experience to maximize food usage. As with the Event Chef, Personal Chef’s can make use of local food sources assuring the use of fresh ingredients.

Giggin’ also offers Concierge butlers to perform other tasks that you can’t find the time to get to, such as running errands, providing travel assistance, providing wait service and delivery, packing for trips, pet and house sitting and dog walking.

A study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that spending money on time-saving services make you happier. The rule applies to people from all socioeconomic backgrounds except for “the poorest of the poor,” because it increased well-being and reduced the stress of not having enough time. Buying material items did not have the same effect.

You can now sign up for the ultimate time saving social experience in Southern California: Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.

Musix Critique ,

This app is not launched just yet. If you are registering as a chef you will be emailed and your SSN will be requested for a background check. Just protocol when entering someone home. This is an amazing app that saves time and money but people working the app must be verified.

I did not get any answer back

I had to provide my social security number and I did not receive any email or confirmation related i my request, is this even real?! Or is just scamming people? I will follow up!!!

Developer Response ,

We do not ask for social security number of registrants. During background check, the third party background check company, asks for the SSN. In this instance the reviewer never progressed to the background check stage. We communicated this information to the reviewer and never heard from her.
