Very Unorganized and Poor Quality App
I'm a new customer to Flagstar bank and have been pleased by their customer service and their simple checking account I can use. Unfortunately though, i've been plagued by some different issues with the mobile banking system they have. The Flagstar app and website wouldn't let me login with the username/password that I created inside the bank itself! It all wasn't a big deal though, the customer service rep I called fixed it all and I am able to log in now. The app itself is very poorly designed and as many other people have said in the reviews... It's a glorified version of the website at best. But honestly the website is better than the app. 😂😂 There isn't any Touch/Face ID and many of the interfaces just overlap each other because they aren't optimized correctly. I feel like this app could be a lot better but it's up to Flagstar if they want to improve it. It's 2019 and there shouldn't be any excuse for such a poorly built application for money management. I hope this app continues to get better in the next coming months but if it doesn't then i'm definitely switching banks. Mobile banking is essential to pretty much anyone with a smartphone and bank account, and if Flagstar can't see that then they really are in a world of trouble.
Less than one
I didn’t think they could make it worse but they did. Does anyone at Flagstar use this app? They have eliminated the account summary form the home page. So when you open the app you now longer get a quick review of you balances. The new account summary has recent transactions and deposits, so the balances get lost in a sea of other information.
They still just put check numbers in the account transactions list, so if you want to know who the check was sent to you need to go to the bill pay screen and select the payment to see the check number they used. How about just put it in the transaction list? They did put a little check icon in the transaction list giving you hope that you could get a view of the check, but it does nothing.
The app doesn’t format on my iPad. One screen is too wide and information is cut off on the right edge. I can’t say what is cut off because you can’t scroll. On another screen the entire screen is squeezed into a column half an inch wide making it unusable.
They have an app for iPads but when I tried to use it I was greeted with a message that directed me to load this piece of garbage.

I am a former Wells Fargo customer, since the switch to Flagstar bank everything has been in complete shambles. I’ve never dealt with such an unprepared, disorganized and honestly clueless institution. I initially downloaded another flagstar banking app which directed me to this sad excuse of an app - which doesn’t even have any of the capabilities listed in the description above. It’s a slow app that freezes, kicks me out, asks me to re-verify my identity every 2-3 log-ins (basically daily since the app freezes then kicks me out). Their customer service phone number is useless since they “don’t know” why i’m experiencing these problems and have no solutions to offer me. I’m so disappointed with this bank. I do not recommend Flagstar to anyone. I will be closing my accounts and finding a new bank.
