Just what I’ve been waiting for!
In short, this game is awesome! It reminds me so much of the original Puzzle Quest for the DS back in the day. The only difference is instead of a match 3 game, it’s battling beast with words. A perfect match! My only criticism is that while this could be a perfect pick up and play game, it’s TOO small for the iPhone. Please make the text bigger so I don’t have to rely on my iPad to play this. On a side note to the game maker, I’m stuck in the game. I need to get herbs for the floating boots but I can’t find it anywhere, please help! Thanks for making a great game and I can’t wait for a direct sequel.

Zombies and bears can drop herbs. Thanks for playing!
Great strategy elements
Fun rpg with an added element. The word puzzle board is more of a strategic factor where you decide how often to use it to buff your character. Much more tactical game than it first appears. Give it a try and stick with it as the first couple of battles are designed to be easy so you don’t fully appreciate the strategic design until later.
Dead end arithmetic?
I love the idea and mechanics of the game, up to a point. At lvl16 with the best weapon available (iron mace) I do 1 point of damage with a regular attack and 5 points with the Melee spell. It takes a couple hours and more potions than I can afford to wear down a boss. I can’t grind XP to get ahead b/c monsters match the PC’s level. Grinding for gold is futile b/c (1) there’s nothing useful to buy except more health potions, and (2) grinding means XPs, levels up, tougher monsters. I’m at the Gryphon and the arithmetic has ground to a halt. Game over. I hope an update will loosen up the math so grinding has some benefit. Not huge, just something positive rather than a negative.
