Description

Dice by PCalc, is a physics-based simulation of polyhedral dice for use in tabletop role-playing games with dungeons and/or dragons.

Featuring near-photorealistic 3D graphics, it comes with a variety of gorgeous dice sets. Throw multiple dice with advantage or disadvantage, and any given modifier, and the app will automatically calculate the correct total.

You can save named presets to quickly roll the attack of your favorite sword, or figure out exactly how much damage your bard took from those seventeen giant rats. Flick dice to fire them across the screen when the numbers don’t go your way.

Create custom dice with any text or emoji on the faces, or import your own images, and easily share your dice with friends.

Supports split screen, so you can put it alongside your other RPG apps, and speech synthesis that can read out the list of dice and the results.

The ideal app for every member of your party!

Best Dice by a Mile

Customizable, fun, and way more powerful than you'd think. Want to tap hotkeys to throw dice one-by-one? Sure. Want a shortcut to throw a specific handful of varied dice with custom faces for a game you invented? No problem. There are also robust sort options to quickly get results for any game or system.

Plus you can just tell the fun that was had making this - it's full of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy references and other weird extras. Sometimes you just want to fling a banana at your dice tray, y'know?

The only thing that's lacking is the car from the About app. Please update to let me drive through my dice!

Pretty nice solo dice, but misleading description.

This APP is great for SOLO rolling. But, does not work for group game play.

I purchased the app because it said "easily share your dice with friends." After using the app, it is clear the developeer was talking about sharing custom dice shapes and colors; not sharing dice rolls and play.

If the game supported sharing the dice rolls (or app use) amoung multiple users, then it would be a 5 star app. And I really enjoy the customizability and user control over the rolling. Unfortunitly without multiplayer use, I don't see much use for the app for me. If I am going to play in person, then I prefer real dice. I only use virtual dice when playing online and that is best done in an app that shares the dice rolls with the group (or again I can just use real dice). I hope the developer will add multiplayer features.

Developer Response ,

You are correct, the phrase "easily share your dice with friends" refers to the custom dice designs mentioned earlier in the sentence. Sincere apologies that wasn't clear enough from the context!
You mention using Dice by PCalc for gaming online. It may be of interest to you, that if you stream your game online you can set the background to blue screen or green screen for use with a streaming tool like OBS.

Sweet Bliss

This is a godscend to my dyslexia. I love all the font choices, colors, styles, and tints! The styles and color matchups are plenty, and I can set the scene for any occasion.

It's also a great function to let users adjust the board size to the window, adjust rolling strength, and auto re-roll askew dice! When I screenshare this to my DND group, not only will I be able to see these rolls better, but they will see it clear as day too!

My only request is that maybe, one day we could get some integration with a side pannel or background image upload to allow us to roll the dice over our character sheet PDF, an image of our character, or maybe a full on webpage like DND Beyond (the last one may be impossible though).

Great work! 10/10! Will recommend!
