Description

We are named HumanForest because that’s our vision of what our great city will become.

As a tree removes CO2 from the atmosphere, people opting to make their journey on a HumanForest e-bike emit zero greenhouse gases. Working together, trees and people can drastically reduce the amount of CO2 in the air – they become a HumanForest.

We invite everyone to join the sustainable travel movement. Let’s make cycling second nature and create a greener, more sustainable future for our planet.

HumanForest offers a truly sustainable vision of more active, safer, greener cities. We are leading a micro-mobility revolution, offering ten minutes free riding on our shared e-bikes to everyone, everyday. We’re on a mission to build happier, healthier cities for all, reForesting our urban environment, one e-bike at a time.

Almost there

Is close to feeling polished, but has some annoying issues. First, if you sign up with the app as you try to rent a bicycle, the “verified“ message, after it verified your email, completely obscures the place to scan a bike. There’s no X or anything to indicate you have to dismiss the verified message to reveal the scanner. Fumbled through the menus for five minutes trying to locate the scanner.

Bike rental mostly worked well after that.

Next, since GPS is imperfect, you can be standing in a green zone and it complains about parking outside of the zone, which it says is 20 ft away. GPS isn’t accurate to 20 ft!

The worst app-based Rental Bike in the city

I tried this bike because it offers 10 minutes of free riding. But it fails to mention is that you have to specifically place it in a zone that are far and few away. The app design is confusing and not intuitive. I could forgive all of this if the riding experience wasn’t absolute garbage. The way the electric motor works it doesn’t allow you to easily pedal. The resistance of the motor Way too high especially when compared to the riding experience similar bikes such as lime. In conclusion, ride lime bikes or take the bus because both are cheaper options.

Hi Bhgddssfh! Thanks for the review. Sad to hear we left a negative impression 😔 I'll respond point by point because you've taken the time and care to write out a detailed review! 💚
We do try our best to make parking very clear. Since your review we've added a message about green bays that you have to acknowledge before a ride can start. It's great feedback like this that has helped us improve, so, thank you for that. 💚
It seriously is our dream to expand and we're always adding new green bays across London. Since this review, we've added another 33 green bays around London and plan to add many more 🎉
As for the ride quality, I'm so sorry you had trouble! That doesn't sound right, if you could reach out at cs@humanforest.co.uk, we'll take a look into this for you. Thanks - Kirsty 😊🌳
