Nutrouble is an insightful nutrition diary designed to help you easily identify which nutrition gave you trouble. Hence Nutrouble which is a combination of Nutrition and Trouble.

Nutrouble is useful for people following the FODMAP diet, suffering from IBS and that want to find out if they have any food intolerance.

Nutrouble will indicate the risk of a product causing you trouble. Add nutrition you consume and trouble you experience to your diary.

I recommend tracking a certain product group for at least a week to get a clear indication. The longer you use Nutrouble and the more data you provide the better the risk indications will become.

Add nutrition products to your diary by searching for them or by scanning bar codes. When a product hasn’t been added before, you can create a new entry for it.

When you experience trouble and aren’t able to log this directly, you can always do so at a later time. Select the area in which you felt discomfort and pick the time when the first symptoms started.

Sore eyes in the evening? No sunglasses needed while using Nutrouble. Just turn on dark mode and it works.

Nutrouble respects your data by giving you the tools to manage it: sync your data between devices with ‘Sign-in with Apple’ or remove all your data at once.

Nutrouble is made by me, Lloyd. Until I was in my early twenties, I never had problems with my intestines. I could eat anything and lived happily and carefree. Unfortunately, my intestines started to protest after traveling the world for a year. The first few years in mild form, then it got worse. After an evening out with friends I ended up on the couch with immense pain. I decided that this was no longer an option: my intestinal complaints started to really control my life and I did not agree with that at all!

My doctor, I feel eternally grateful to her. Pointed me to the low FODMAP diet. Which some of you may know is a struggle in the beginning. It took a lot of manual tracking and it was a hassle to determine which nutritions were causing me trouble. From keeping a diary to reviewing the impact of each product.

With Nutrouble I want to help as many people with IBS to a calmer belly by providing risk indication for each nutrition product you track over a certain time using Nutrouble. I am a developer, not a scientist or doctor, so I certainly do not claim that you will be complaint-free by using this app. Contact a doctor by serious illnesses and a specialized dietitian must help you if you want to follow a FODMAP diet.

Nutrouble is free to use but not to host and maintain. We won’t show any ads, but offer a subscription to support Nutrouble. You also get some nice bonus features:
• Generate PDF files from your diary that you can keep or share with your dietitian
• Add an unlimited amount of nutrition products to your diary each day
• Go further back than yesterday in your diary
• A luxurious app icon

When developing an app it is good to have a sense of direction when it comes to new features or updates to work on. This is a list of what’s next:
• Accessibility improvements (dynamic font size and screen readers)
• Improved pdf export (multi language support and ingredients)
