Description

Eyeye is an eyesight trainer app powered by eye-tracking technology that helps you improve your vision and reduce eye strain.

Featured by Apple as the App of the Day on the App Store across multiple regions, this app is perfect for people who spend hours focusing on books or screens every day.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Eyeye integrates the principles of eye gymnastics into a series of exercises. It uses the TrueDepth camera and sensors on your device to track your eye movements and make sure you’re doing it right.

BUILD HEALTHY HABITS

Start building eye-caring habits with customizable training schedule and daily reminders to keep your eyes healthy and resilient to stress.

MADE WITH YOUR PRIVACY IN MIND

The app collects only the bare minimum amount of anonymous usage data to improve your experience. Everything captured by the camera is processed locally and never leaves your device.

The eye-tracking feature is only available for devices with Face ID:

You can still learn how to do eye exercises in Manual Mode, but it’s up to you to make sure you’re doing it right. Follow the instructions as they appear, and tap anywhere on the screen for the next one when you’ve done it.

My eyes are rested!

This is the best thing Ive done for my eyes, ever. I use glass, contacts and spend hours in front of a computer screen for work. Going for 10+ years of this. If I forget to do the exercises, or don’t have time, it still super helpful to spend 5-10 minutes doing the exercises at the end of the day. Doing the exercises probably looks odd and I wouldn’t do it in public. However allI need is a bit of privacy and at least one minute.

I was struggling with dry, tired, stressed eyes and this has helped much more than eye drops and eye masks. At least for my use case, this has brought me a priceless amount of relief.

My only down side is that there are only 2 exercise sequences available. It would be interesting if they added more, but even with just the 2 it still deserves 5 stars and a few dollars to purchases.

Widget needs work

Over the years I’ve done a variety of vision therapy techniques in order to stabilize or reverse myopia.

This app is very useful and the widget is a game changer on iOS. It occupies the top left corner of my Home Screen. If it changes to High strain mode (ring turns red) I’ll spot it when picking up phone and will do one or two sessions if I can. Easily done on public transport.

The widget seems to be timer based and doesn’t monitor my time on devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac mini). The ring chart seems to be reporting on time from last app session but it doesn’t seem to be working well. That said it still is an effective reminder.

Ambient light, eye glasses, phone and head position all seem to influence eye tracking. Make sure face is reasonably well lit, head level instead of looking down, eyes are open wide, and device in front of nose.

Such a good app!!!

The UI is so beautiful and the app works perfect! The reminders are an excellent touch to remind me to take a break throughout the day.

It would be nice if you could set even more reminders. Also, if you could add more eye improvement exercises I would gladly pay for them :)

Developer Response ,

Thanks! I’ll keep working on the app to make it even better.
