I have used a lot of methods to convert to WebP, and this is by far the easiest. This tool (paid version) allows me to set a max width OR height, which is excellent for handling landscape and portrait images in the same batch. Then, there's the auto-start feature which makes moving through the process a breeze, when paired with "save in original image folder". I just drop groups of files in to be optimized and its off to the races. Very quick conversion, and I have also found the compressed image sizes to be smaller than several other tools I have used like Squoosh or WebPShop (Photoshop).

This little app is just perfect. It does everything it says it will, it's cheap, and it's efficient. I wish more companies wrote software like this today. Kudos to the devs for a great piece of functional software, with a good UI, and excellent price!

I had 22 images I needed convert, which is why I searched Ai to see if I could get one for my Intel iMac in the first place. Be sure to have your folder for converted files selected, because this app It works like lightening!
