PLATE by Prime Women is a weight management app designed specifically for women near or over 50 using intermittent fasting. The program and app were developed in collaboration with Dr. Kathryn Waldrep, practicing OB-Gyn, with 35 years of experience in treating and counseling women from childbearing age to end of life. She has witnessed firsthand the havoc hormones play on a woman’s weight and her ability to lose weight.

After menopause, a woman’s metabolism is likely to go down 10 to 20% each decade. Diets that work well for younger people do not work for postmenopausal women. The eating program follows what Dr. Waldrep recommends for this age group and allows postmenopausal women to succeed at weight loss by eating what their body needs and consistently tracking their food intake without counting calories.

PLATE is an acronym that stands for:

PORTIONS
You start by getting your portions correct with nutritionally balanced meal plans designed specifically for women near or over 50.

LIFESTYLE
For an eating program to work, it must fit within your lifestyle. PLATE allows you to eat out, on the road, family gatherings, and indulging in wine and other adult beverages.

ACCOUNTABILITY
You will receive notifications on when to start and end your fast, reminders to get in your steps and weight lifting sessions, a time to record your weight, plus lots of tips to help you stay on track.

TIMING
When you eat your meals is integral to the PLATE program. The goal is to gradually cut your eating window down to 8 hours and fast for 16. Our intermittent fasting bar speeds up the process by allowing you to eat outside the 8-hour window.

EXERCISE
Participants are encouraged to walk every day with a step tracker integration and get in two days a week of strength training.

By utilizing the PLATE method, postmenopausal women are finally able to take control of their weight and live a healthy lifestyle.

Weight loss was wonderful

I started using PLATE in the early conception of the program. My starting weight was 142lbs. I had never weighed that much in my life. PLATE was a game changer for me. I followed the program, ate, did my 10,000 steps every day. Used allot of the recipes, they were easy to follow and delicious. Not only did I loose 15 pounds, I felt and looked better than I have in my lifetime. I would recommend PLATE program to everyone. No matter now much or how little you need to loose. It is truly the best program on the market.

Finally losing weight!

I put on some weight over the winter and have been really trying to lose it without success. Having the app track what I eat has really helped me realize how many calories I’m taking in. Plus, it’s easier to skip the sweets when I know I have to enter it into the app. So far so good!

Easy to use - Love the recipes!

The Plate app works wonders at tracking my protein intake and making great suggestions for meals along the way. Gives substitutes that makes me feel like I can eat freely while working on my health. If you have had trouble staying motivated or tracking your progress, I can’t recommend the Plate app enough!!
