Good potential

I currently use Whoop and my Apple Watch but will cancel my whoop membership soon - just don’t want to pay monthly. That being said, this is the closest app I’ve found that records sleep, recovery, and activity to the whoop data. The recovery is a bit inconsistent based on when I check my HRV in the mornings via breath app but I really see the potential in this app.

I use my Apple Watch to sleep also and the sleep score sometimes doesn’t match up with the app I use. However the activity (strain on whoop) are always really close which is one of the things I really like. My only issue is to refine the HRV and sleep so the recovery score is a bit more consistent. I’m glad I found this app early on in its development so I’m excited to see how it goes!

Almost there

I switched from Whoop, due to the cost and wild inaccuracies, and soon after began searching for apps to replace Whoop. I’ve been an Apple Watch wearer for several years and have tried several apps, all of which are good but still lacking with the data aspect Whoop excelled at.

Currently, I am using a combination of Chipr, Athlytic, Heart Watch and Zones. When all combined, the data I receive is what I want, but having so many apps to review is a bother.

Chipr seems to be as close to Whoop as I’ve seen but still is lacking a few things.

1. A more polished interface with options to customize views and data tracked.
2. A widget for IOS
3. A more “complete app”. (The last tab has two links that do not do anything)
4. Improved accuracy with sleep data

If all or most of these are improved, I’d be willing to pay for this app!

Comparing to Athlytic

I like the interface and greater sleep details. I’d like to see swipable activity days so not having to return to the main page to see each individual day. I’d like to be able to add a note like alcohol use, injury, etc to correlate low recovery scores. I’d like a light vs only dark version for the app. I’d like to see more than a week of graphs data, at least a month or scrollable graph for retrospective look.

I noticed my recovery scores are much higher here than in Athlytic so am pondering the whys.
