Beautifully Dark with Surprising Depth

This development studio never fails to create unique masterpieces. I cannot emphasize enough how underrated this studio’s games are. On the surface when you first begin, it’s an easy to pick up game with a fascinating story and visuals. But the more you play, as you learn more mechanics, the absurd depth of the mechanics, skill trees, loot variety, etc begins to reveal itself… but this depth is paced in a way that it’s never overwhelming to the player. It just continuously provides moments of disbelief as to how much thought, intention, and creativity went into development - as well as moments of excitement in realizing how much freedom you have and how much there is to discover.

This is the second game I’ve played from this studio, after spending nearly 8 months obsessively playing the first. What’s even crazier is, I’m generally a competitive FPS player on PC. I wouldn’t consider myself generally a part of the demographic for a title like this, especially not to spend as much time on a mobile game. But the games this studio releases are so consistently unique and incredible that I find myself absorbed in the worlds they create.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would, as well as any other title released by this studio. If you enjoy this game and you’re looking for another fantastic world to experience, you HAVE to check out their other games as well, because this studio is consistently great.

This game is truly remarkable a gem of gems

This is probably one of the best games I’ve ever played in in my life. It reminds me of the old-fashioned dragon age game origins, but with way more detail and options. This really reminds me of the old RPG games that really really were the best like champions of norrath It’s right up there with summoner which was one of my favorite PlayStation 2 games of all time and you know why because it wasn’t about the graphics. It was about the music sound effects the option of choice unique items plentiful. Customization skill trees unique music atmosphere. Summoner is one of my favorite games in the entire world and I am so happy that this game exists because it’s very similar. You did epic if I was a multi billionaire I would hire everybody who created this game. Create a game just like it and the. Summoner just may be butter graphics, but like I said it’s not about the graphics. It’s about what you did with this game and what they did that makes it amazing.

Ideas Amazing game

The opening choices have little impact beyond small rewards, so it would be good to expand on them. For example, implementing faction reputation or expanding the Carver mission by locking certain items behind merchants could incentivize siding with a guild. I was disappointed that choosing to leave the Scars had no dialogue changes; even a minor comment from his sister would have acknowledged the choice. A reputation system for towns that unlocks purchasable housing and discounts for reaching certain levels could also expand the endgame. More kill quests utilizing the abundant late-game money would be welcome. Making gems purchasable from vendors would improve accessibility. The Masochist tree is lackluster compared to Vanguard, with health bonuses or damage resistances potentially improving its viability. Higher XP farming locations are needed since mermaid creatures grant more XP than dragons. Epic gear should include one of each type in vendors since currently the best hammer is from a brutal encounter. A New Game Plus mode enabling persuasion of the initial guards would better reward repeat playthroughs.

Hi, thank you so much for such a detailed review. You being a VFO player makes your opinion very important to us. You idea about a guilds is very interesting. We will pass it on to our developers, along with your impressions on specific choices in missions and the skill tree and weapons. Once again, take you so much for taking the time to leave your impressions and suggestions. We'll make sure they get taken into consideration for the future. In the meantime, keep enjoying the game! Kind regards, EMS :)
