Online Church 4+

CBC is one amazing church! Pastor Ed and his amazing team never disappoint. Each sermon has its uniqueness and that is why, on most weekends, I watch all 5 services. The spirit of God shows up in so many ways during the services. My first experience with CBC was when I attended for a funeral of a co-worker when I lived in San Antonio. Pastor Ed was delivering the funeral service. I was intrigued by the service and wanted the real and raw spirit that Pastor Ed had. I physically attended services until COVID and during that time moved to Corpus. I now watch online but attend in person when I visit San Antonio. Every time, God shows up through Pastor Ed and team. It is such a relief for me to know that I am a part of a church where the spirit is always in the room whether I’m watching online or I am in person. Thank you for your leadership Pastor Ed!

I have been listening to dr Ed Newton fir 5 years and I have learned so much about who God is abs his love for us. God has definitely spoken through Ed and resounded in my heart. My husband had filed for divorce and I as so scared and desperate, I was clinging to every word and sermon. I was about to give up and just lay down and quit but I listened to never a boring testimony. Dr Ed started crying and said don’t give up they can’t hold you down. I dusted myself off and kept fighting on my knees. My husband is now a pastor and we have been made new. One day I would love to speak to pastor ed and tell him about the fruit his ministry is producing in and through us. I love you all and God bless this body and May we all be built up in our most holy faith in love.

I have visited CBC in SanAntonio a few times while visiting friends/family there. I REALLY enjoy the Praise and Worship and the Messages each time. It seems as though the worship service has changed a little and though, I liked it better before the change, I still enjoy watching it.
Obviously I cannot be there but I am very thankful for the ability to watch online. I love that Pastor Ed is not afraid to preach the Word, and is not concerned with hurting feelings or offending anyone. We need to hear grace and mercy but more than that we need to hear the difficult, “the Meat of the Word”. Thank you CBC! Since I can’t talk my husband into moving to SanAntonio…online will work!!!
