Original. Made me think. Must have travel app of the year.

Faye Travel App is different. Excellent but different. The team and how they communicate is not only caring and compassionate but also well written.

This is not a paid review or sponsored post.

I have used this app as a first time user for a personal trip, when in the famous Langtang Valley (netflix made a documentary of the famous 2015 earthquake, and it is shared by the mt everest base hikers that the only signal that worked was a GPS Satellite phone) and when being in contact with Faye the moment of arrival that I was injured, with no cell phone signal (local Nepali and international sim did not work) the app did load (even offline) and I was able to write and document my emergency and the messages and they sent went being connected to wifi. Most apps that I use do not load past the home interface so this to me was a surprise and I am thankful to have been in 24/7 contact with someone on the Faye team.

Lightning fast customer service

I put Faye on notice that my flight was indefinitely delayed because someone dropped a phone into the cargo hold through a crack in the floor in the First Class section which posed an explosion risk and the pilot refused to fly the plane until it was found. They made us get off the plane. I texted Faye just to put them on notice of a possible claim due to delay or cancelled flight. They responded IMMEDIATELY asking for updates and prepared for a claim. Luckily they found the phone so it was just a two hour delay so no need for a claim but I was very impressed how promptly Faye responded and was ready to help out with a claim. Coupled with the very reasonable fees for the trip insurance I am sold on Faye.

False urgent messages about flight and gate change

The day before I left Australia ( back to USA) I started receiving urgent message about day and time change of my flight . It indicated that my flight would be delayed one day and at different time, which caused grave inconvenience. I contacted the airline company directly to confirm it but I was told nothing was changed and the flight schedule would remain as scheduled.
I also contacted Faye but did not receive any clear answer via chat agent , called Zoey . She only said she would be investigating , assuming it was a technical glitch and would come back to me with an answer but it never happened . I never received any serious response. Even on the actual flight day , I kept receiving urgent messages regarding gate changes from Faye . At that point, I did not take any message from Faye seriously.
I will not recommend anyone to use the service from this company called “ Faye “, as there are many other reliable and professional businesses that offer much sincere and reliable travel insurance services. Who needs to receive and get stressed out over such false and very urgent messages.
