Tuscany Adventure 4+

This is my favorite farming game! I usually play video games and not apps because I don’t like pay-to-play. But this actually feels like a game. They don’t do ridiculous tedious tricks to get people to spend money, but of course there are things you can spend money on. Honestly, I probably will spend some money just because I want to donate to them making a fun game. There is an energy system and you can run out of energy, but there are plenty of things to do that don’t cost energy, and alternative ways to get more energy of you really need some - like cook food or watch adds. It seems like the game tries to help you out when you need something- for example, a merchant may have the specific thing you’re looking for, or new orders will include specific things you have excess of- I really appreciate the developers for doing that. It makes me want to keep playing.

I am very disappointed with this game, because the concept is absolutely wonderful, and I ADORED the first few levels I went through. It was so fun, creative, and the graphics were gorgeous. I thought it would be my new favorite game. However, I am currently on level seven, having been stuck here for awhile. There is only one quest I have to complete, but completing it requires I clear a LOT of land on the other map. The problem is that clearing things takes a lot of energy, and you never know which patch of grass or tree or bush will “trigger” the areas to unlock, meaning you’re basically running around an unlocked section in circles VERY slowly because you can only clear a couple things at a time. Because I’m stuck on level seven trying to complete this one quest, I can’t get any more fields or things, and my production can’t keep up with feeding the animals and fulfilling orders, so I never have enough crops for anything. This makes me so sad, because I can tell so much love has been put into this game, but I see no real reason to keep playing if it’s going to be like this: only getting thirty seconds of gameplay out of it every day. If things didn’t cost so much energy, or unlocking areas on the map wasn’t so confusing, it would be better. But it’s mainly the energy that’s the problem.

This would be a fun game with a inviting Tuscan ambience if not for two things. One it’s trying “not” to be a farming-type game and their attempt leaves me wanting more plots to farm in rather than their push to have you buy items from a farm stand etc. and they are still working on glitches.
Secondly, I click the game on my iPhone 14Plus and can prep my lunch… eat most of it… before this game downloads and opens.
I gave 3 stars because the Tuscan and little Factories designer deserves 5 stars.
I’m keeping it and just looking now and then, like checking under the bbq lid, hoping it will be a good as it’s potential.
