Unpayable debts. Abandoned futures. Mysterious travelers. Journey down a secret underground highway to find community in this mystical adventure game.
At twilight in Kentucky, as bird songs give way to the choir of frogs and insects, familiar roads become strange. It's easy to get lost. Those who are already lost may find their way to a secret highway winding through underground caves. The people who live and work along this highway seem a little strange at first but soon become familiar: the aging driver making the last delivery for a doomed antique shop; the young woman who fixes obsolete TVs surrounded by ghosts; the child and his giant eagle companion; the robot musicians; and the invisible power company lurking everywhere and the threadbare communities that struggle against its grip.
Features:
• A complete story. Originally published episodically over a span of years, all five acts and the interludes can now be experienced together.
• A striking visual style that draws from theater, film, experimental electronic art and the history of video games.
• A haunting electronic score and a suite of hymns and bluegrass standards recorded by The Bedquilt Ramblers.
From Cardboard Computer and Annapurna Interactive.
Ratings and Reviews
Great game, but …
please add controller support.
This game is like licorice, hate it or love it
This is my favorite game of all time. I played the Acts as they released on PC and eagerly awaited for them to release. I am so happy I can have it on my phone. Patience is rewarded as you explore the world and experience the wonderful moments that Carboard Computer has created. This game is my #1 and I hope more people can experience it now that it is on mobile.
I really wanted to like this game.
I don’t know if it’s the whole Netflix ownership thing or what but this game got unplayable by act 3. Started great but The Xanadu part became so boring it violated the Geneva convention. I had no clue what to do and it took half an hour of bumbling only to leave the game and when I signed back in was forced to start that painful process over again. Maybe there needs to be a better save function to avoid hours of lost playtime but this snoozefest became as entertaining as a vasectomy.
Very disappointed.
