TopDrop 4+

Firstly, I don't have a notch, however it seems to work fine regardless. Secondly, this is so incredibly brilliant it's absurd how under reviewed it it. With that said, it could use some design polishing: I think that's the big thing holding it back. There's a lot of drag and drop apps out there and this one still looks pretty rough. And yet, this and dropover are the ones I paid for. The glow is nice, but the top shelf doesn't look too hot; and none of the menu actions show for me (an apparant bug), so I can't say anything on those. This app is incredible in concept and it works for the most part, but get a designer to clean it up and you'll have a standout essential — even the app icon could use a different design: a little too much like a lot of other drag and drop apps. This thing is unique and brilliant, but needs a facelift.

I am very happy you’re enjoying it and I agree it needs some polish. I have been experimenting with some ideas lately and I do hope to get things like configurable effects and some other fun UI out soon. I am just taking a little time to make sure I can do so without impacting things like performance and energy consumption!

Installed it but didn't hava a use for a weeks or so, then I needed to send a file to my wife and business partner and I immediately thought of it. It worked flawlessly. I think that bodes well as the app wasn't at the forefront of my thoughts and it was the most natural way to send the file even though I've used Airdrop the traditional way hundreds of times.

I saw some of the previews for future features and they look promising as well.

One small gripe. It should close it's preference window with the standard close button. I understand the impulse to be explicit, but the standard elements have built in meaning. People know closing a window... closes the window and not much else. Plus it's annoying if you have a lot of muscle memory.

I think this has the potential to be one of those classic mac utilities.

I’ve tried really hard to make something that stays out of your way but it’s always there when you need it, so to hear that’s the vibe you’re getting makes me really happy 😃.

Great point about the preferences and I agree, the most recent version hopefully fixes that issue and is more inline with what you’d expect from other preference screens.

Sometimes it's the smallest of things you do all the time... I find it useful to easy airdrop files in efficient and fun way utilizing the notch area.

Looking forward to see what other actions or shortcuts can be streamlined from this app.
