This has all the options, and more!
This is the absolute best Sudoku app - and I've tried a bunch of them trying to get one I like! It has options for EVERYTHING, including all the different ways to do pencil marks! You can set "pick a number, then a cell," or vice versa! Best of all, the hints can do everything from a simple "is board solvable (do I have anything wrong)" to "undo until solvable" (!) to "hint" - which will then lead you through AND TRAIN YOU on advanced solving techniques! Absolutely amazing app! The free version gives you one of each game each day, which is a good hour+ of play time, but it'll be worth paying for the full version just because this is SO GOOD!
Timer takes away from relaxation
I read pop-ups on my screen so that I do not inadvertently tap “OK” for something I may not want.
Because this game has a pop up after completing one game, the pop up gives a congratulations and then a placement of your “performance” by what % you completed the game faster than others. This is the part that has no value to me because it implies I wish to be competitive when I have no interest in that.
It also judges everyone’s use of this game. For example, I my have the game open while talking to someone and not actively using it, I may be picking it up when I may. It’s a game, it should be fun, as in recreation, not an advocation.
I use number and word games as relaxation for sleep, waiting for someone, etc. Developers, if you read this, will you please make the option to turn off the rating at the end as will as the pop up menu after the game is finished?
The Sudoku game itself is a five star. The four star rating is due to the pop-up judgements that are at the close of the game and the ads that flash “FAIL” at the close of the ad. I turn my device on it’s screen when I see the beginning of those ads, because they are no relaxing.
I love this game so far
I am just a beginner and just starting to use this app, but tried several others before I found this one. I don’t want to compete I just want a simple mind game. So far the game allows me to take as long as I want and doesn't rag at me with advertisements. The timer doesn’t seem to be optional, but I don’t mind that as I long as I have the option not to play with others. The variety of game levels seems wide. The other thing I like is that I can choose a harder game one day and a relaxing easy one the next day. The other apps I tried were in my face competitive. So I am very happy with this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
