*** Few people are having issues with iOS4, after upgrades make sure you re-start the app. ***
Also with iOS4 the app runs in the background when closed. Make sure you stop it by double tapping on nav button and closing the app on the tool bar.
We are working on a new version to fix the issues so you don't need to re-start the app after upgrading.
Fishing by HuntFishTracker is an upgradable app that you can add levels and features to fit your needs. The lite version includes basic features for documenting your fishing trip. The Amateur level includes Photos, Photo Viewer, Mapping, GPS data and additional fish data. The Pro level includes the Amateur level features and Weather data, Water data, Filters and Tournament data.
Web Storage is one of the main features of this version of our Fishing products and requires a Web Storage Account to save data. Without a Web Storage Account the app will run in demo mode even with the in app upgrades.
Fishing by HuntFishTracker provides anglers a advanced fishing journal and a powerful fishing analysis tool with the least amount of complication. Our simple and intuitive interface is designed to limit the amount of data entry while out on the water. The graphics and colors that are used are high contrast for easy viewing while using outdoors.
Location, anglers, rods, reels, baits data can be setup before heading out to your favorite fishing spot to limit the amount input needed while fishing. System defaults can be setup to also limit the amount of data entry needed for common data points.
Fishing by HuntFishTracker is designed to be as simple or as advanced as needed based on each angler’s needs. You decide how many and what data points to collect, maybe a simple picture is enough, or maybe you want bait type, location, pattern, weather conditions, water conditions and more for deeper analysis.
Also include is the ability to keep an inventory of Baits, Rods, Reels, and Line. Store detail information – Name, Model, Manufacture, Color, Size and notes.
Use Fishing by HuntFishTracker to improve your fishing results by using the powerful analysis and reporting tools. Analyze your past catches by location, date and time, weather, bait types and more.

Try's to sync with web storage on every start up, which takes forever when you don't have good signal (such as when you're fishing!). Also, there's no option to just list daily total catch...only individual fish.
Good - A little tweaking would make it great
This is basically the same as "After the Catch" with the addition of Web Storage. I think it may even be the same author.
I have used After the Catch for awhile and like it. If I could select the size, color, line weight etc for each lure while entering the new fish, this would be perfect. This way, I don't have to enter in 7 different lures just because I have 7 Strike King Series 5 crankbaits in different colors for instance. Instead, I would select Strike King Series 5 when entering a new fish. I could then select the color seperately. Same with sizes - I could enter 1/2 oz, 3/4 oz, etc and not have to put in a seperate lure for each different size. Line test strength could work the same way. This one should be easy to do.
Another thing that would be VERY useful is the ability to query my trips/fish on different criteria. In other words, show me what colors, retrieves, etc worked best when temp was between 50 and 60, in the morning, and cloudy. That is why we enter this information in the journal in the first place isn't it?
Not sure what the problem is with some of the users. It took me a couple of trips to familiarize myself with the app. I will admit that I din't catch on as quickly as I should. It would have helped if I had spent a little time with the app before I went fishing. Once I got the hang of it, loading info and photos was actually prettry easy. I don't have the delays and slow loads that I've read about here. I started with the free app and upgraded for 5 bucks to the pro deal and it was well worth the extra few $. And I really don't think that the developers are planning to use everyone's valuable info and create a "fishing hot spots" book or app. It would be a huge amount of work and how could they be sure that the data was accurate? Since I don't synch my iPhone often enough, I prefer to have the data stored somewhere else. I'd recommend this app!
