Dr. Gary Brown's Autism/DTT Numbers app uses Discrete Trial Training (DTT) to help your child learn the numbers (0-99) and to learn to count (0-9). (This app is currently English only. Check the support page for more info.)
This app has been tested extensively in Dr. Brown's clinic with children who have autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders. DTT is not a children's game. It is a therapy based on years of scientific research. DTT is the primary teaching method used in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach numerous pre-academic and social skills to children with autism. This app can be used to help teach numbers and counting to children with autism, attention deficit disorder (ADD), or attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). The apps also can be used by any child who has trouble staying on task.
Finding the right therapy for a child with autism can be overwhelming. Only Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has years of scientific research proving its effectiveness and is recommended by The National Institute of Mental Health and the Surgeon General. But caregivers quickly learn that well-trained therapists in ABA are expensive and hard to find. During my forty years of clinical experience as a Licensed Psychologist I have tried to provide low-cost ABA resources for caregivers so they can do their own ABA. ABA and DTT increases your child's likelihood of being mainstreamed, increases happiness, and gives you hope.

Complete waste of $
Don't waste your time or money. It only does 2 simple functions and many of the features don't even work! Many of the pictures don't show up. It's essentially useless. Wish I could get a refund.
Mom with an Autistic Special Kid
Thank you Dr. Brown for creating this awesome app. My son 3 years old diagnosed with Autism and Speech Delay is benefiting and learning from this fabulous app.
I think the strength of this app lies in the ability to truly test your child's knowledge of concepts. The layout of the numbers is good and being able to choose what numbers to teach is great. There is no other app out there like this so you are almost forced to get it if you want this concept. However, for the price I expected a little more. No, a lot more. Dr. Brown writes about reducing distraction and yet has a distracting menu at the top that can't be turned off. He writes that this is not a child's game but that doesn't mean it can't be fun or even a little more attractive. The reward voice is clear but boring. Someone please improve on this concept!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
