About CompTIA Security+
The CompTIA Security+ Certification is a vendor neutral credential. It is an internationally recognized validation of foundation-level security skills and knowledge, and is used by organizations and security professionals around the globe. The CompTIA Security+ exam certifies that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to identify risk and participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure, application, operational and information security, apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability, identify appropriate technologies and products, and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws and regulations.
CompTIA has added performance based questions to the Security+ exam. Read about them here (http://blogs.getcertifiedgetahead.com/security-and-performance-based-questions/) so that they don’t surprise you.

Good, but beware
This app is great for learning the basic concepts and IT security language. However, the actual Security+ test questions are nothing like these practice questions and flash cards. If you use this app, I STRONGLY suggest that you also watch some security plus lectures, and get a test bank/brain dump from online with questions that are closer to the exam questions. I used this app, lecture videos, and a "brain dump" for 4 weeks and scored a 769 on the exam (barely passed).
Content is good, Implementation is Bad
The app is great at surface level, it has flash cards and questions. Who wouldn't love it? When you start to dive in to the app you notice there are quite a few spelling and grammar errors. Following that there are some flash cards that you can tell are completely wrong and you wouldn't notice without already knowing the content.
I do with there was some kind of tracking system with the flash cards, or even a way to combine all the cards into one and review them that way. It is a bit cumbersome to switch between the domains or not to know which cards you did bad on, etc.
Descriptions on the questions are good and informative but as said before, it's identical to the book. So if you have the book the only real benefit comes from the flash cards.
To any one studying, don't use a single source for your studies. This is one of many resources, make sure to use some others out there includes this. You will have better success passing.
Passed my exam
This app helped a lot in preparing for the exam. I also had the book, and used GCGA premium. I would add some practice performance-based questions to the app. It’s good to be familiar with how those are formatted before taking the exam. As it stands, the app will help you a lot with the multiple choice portion. Be aware that questions on the exam are worded strangely, if you know the concepts it shouldn’t be a problem.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
