Found it...Update to: Was super good; now dead

Update: I was unable to find MNP anywhere until I did the 4-finger swipeup on my trackpad. There was a tiny version of it. So I clicked on it and it didn't come to the forefront. I thought, perhaps, it was off the screen, which seemed odd since I've got three monitors, LG ultrawide, MBPro, iPadPro. So I opened the monitor preferences and began moving my three displays all over that virtual space. Finally, in the opposite configuration I normally use, there it was (after clicking it over and over in the menu bar for every configuation, of course). After much trial and tribulation, I was able to drag it to my MBPro and now it seems useable again. I've no idea how it ended up off the screen for all three monitors after the update.

I left my computer this morning and got a splash screen, something like "thanks for downloading MiniNote Pro," which I've used for years. I closed the splashscreen and set about doind my work. I tried to access MNP and nothing. I tried again, nothing. I quit it using Activity Monitoer and restarted, nothing, rinse, repeat, quit, force quit, nothing. When I click on it in the menu bar it highlights and that is it; no text entry fields show up at all. I looked around my desktop, just in case I had left it opened and anchored somewhere; if it's there, I can't find it (it's not there). This update killed MNP on my MBPro.

Love it! Just What I've Been Looking For!

I have been looking for a note pad that I can grab on the fly, keep important short hand information for ongoing projects, and bits and pieces of information like this for a long time. It sits perfectily at thte top of my screen very unobtrusively, yet is always ready to be used at a seconds notice.

I've tried doing this with Apple's Stickies, but they were always out of order, type to tiny to see when rolled up, and just messy. Plain old messy. Yes, they functioned just like real stickies, where you grab one and post it just about anywhere you have a space - but then your desk top is a mess and you can't find anything at all. With MiniNote, you can pin important notes to the top of the list, and create notes on the fly when on the phone or need to write a thought down quickly without having to open a full fledged application to do it. Then you can export the note in a number of different ways when needed.

This one is an ace in the hole. I only wish Apple would return to its early days of keeping things workable, current, and useful. Now, everything they do has to have some dollar and cents making aspect to it. It's not enough their machiens are over priced, (maybe if they moved all their factories here the prices would justified), but they're just sucking in cash in a race to be not only the first trillion dollar company but maintain that status. Sure do miss you Mr. Jobs.

Favorite App

This is hands down one of my most-used apps. I don't use cloud syncing, so I haven't had those issues; the app works great for me.

Some features that would be immensely useful is the ability to group notes into folders (this would help me clean up long lists of notes) and the ability to insert bulleted and numbered lists.

I'm also not a huge fan of the design; I'd prefer something a bit more minimalistic. But the app works great, barring minor issues with organization of and within notes.
