Hopefully helpful review

The system for queuing music is frustrating. If you are trying to add a new song onto the queue and accidentally press on a station or album it will clear your carefully curated queue which is pretty annoying. I love the recently played menu because I often come back to music I’ve discovered or played recently but there are some things seriously wrong with it. For example if you click on an album you listened to recently, it will play one song from the album and only one song. Or it will choose a few and leave a bunch of others out. I’m not sure why this happens or how it chooses which ones to keep but it seems totally arbitrary and is even more frustrating because when I click on the details and try to view the whole album it only brings up a few songs, and won’t have the option below to view the full album. Also this may be patented I wouldn’t put that past apple but when you are adding songs to a playlist it would be easier if the one you had started adding to would jump to the top so you could add to it easier especially if you are making a huge playlist. Also maybe I’m dumb but I can’t figure out how to reduce the in between song gap to 0. Please read this I hope it’s helpful and I’m sorry for my last review which was scathing and came from a place of unproductive frustration. Thanks

Decent , but could be better

I use this music app all. the. time. I work out several days a week and play this while I’m driving most of the time. There are several things that drive me nuts about this app:
First of all, songs are constantly suddenly not a usable file, and you have no idea unless you check your library frequently. There’s no notification nor replacement file provided, you have to search and find it, again, for yourself. Sometimes, the song/artist isn’t even available anymore.
Secondly, there isn’t a way to play just ONE song and be done. If you play a song, the songs in your library or the songs in whatever search you’re in automatically follow. You have to create a playlist with only one song on it to have that option, which is obviously absurd.
Lastly, the songs skip/have pauses semi-frequently, no matter what service I’m connected to- (various wi-fis or cellular). Sometimes the pauses are rather long. Sometimes I have to close out the app completely and reopen it to get it to play again. SO obnoxious.
IMO, the annual cost of the unlimited annual plan is too expensive for these reasons. I keep it active however because I don’t want to go through the hassle of beginning a new library somewhere else. Sigh. If you’re thinking about buying this (the unlimited version, which isn’t free/included with your prime membership), I’d look elsewhere.

LOTS of songs, lots of control

4 stars just because I wish there were a couple more features: if I’m already playing music then it should ASK ME if I want to start playing something else if I tap something in the wrong place. Speaking of tapping in the wrong place, the three dots to the right of a song has a selection zone that is SO SMALL that you have to tap it precisely. Imagine the place where you can tap a song to make it play is 100 units wide. The three dots is only like 5 units of that! Jeez, just make it like half the button so there’s no excuse to ruin the whole playlist I had just built and was enjoying listening to in its current order. I know I can save it, but just make that darn “Info” or “Options” button or whatever it is BIGGER!!
Now the good news:
If I want to listen to a specific song, I can easily do it on here by simply looking it up and hitting play. This is unlike other music apps where I might have to find a “station” that plays that song and then keep hitting Next until it comes on. This is also important for great songs off of albums that never really made it to the radio, because they would be almost impossible to find otherwise.
