“Yoga for Weight Loss” is part of Saagara’s new series of apps for various ailments. Combining the simplicity of “Core Yoga” with traditionally therapeutic yoga poses, we’ve constructed an app aimed solely at helping users manage their weight.
While dieting has been shown to reduce visceral fat, exercise is essential for burning subcutaneous fat stores (those that cause belly and thigh fat). This app is designed to help you tone your abs, get in shape, and improve your overall health.
According to the yogic texts, excess fat must be converted to strength and energy for effective weight loss. “Yoga for Weight Loss” has incorporated specific exercises which mobilize the body’s fat reserves and turn them into usable energy. Regular practice of these exercises makes the body lean and healthy.
“Yoga for Weight Loss” draws upon traditional hatha yoga and was formulated by an expert in ancient yogic methods. The program guides you through several yoga poses while emphasizing correct breathing methods. As you become accustomed to the exercises, you can change the settings from beginner to intermediate to advanced, for a longer more effective session.

Users may want to first try our app "Core Yoga" which is better suited for beginners. After practicing "Core Yoga" for a few weeks, you should be able to comfortably practice "Yoga for Weight Loss”.

Needs Voice Directions
I would really like this app if they would add voice directions so I'm not hurting my neck constantly looking at the screen to see what to do next. Because of this, this app was a waste of money!
App works well - Stunning, Simple and effective
No issues with sound - just don't have your device set to mute with slide switch on the side of your iPhone/iPad
This is by far the best yoga app I have used, no waiting to download videos etc. Stunning animation with clear vocals instructions as well to guide you. It's well structured for beginners and advanced yogis.
If you want complicated,difficult or an encyclopedia of yoga postures this is not the app for you. If you simply want a no hassle 10-15 min routine to lose weight using yoga this app is for you.
I personally like this app...I've just completed my first month of yoga, including Bikram/Hatha as well. I'm still a beginner. I practice yoga three times a week at my local gym with each evening class being full. The poses in this app is all the stuff we do as I am familiar with it. Now I may practice at work at my desk looking like a weirdo at my job....I love it....the only thing I may suggest is to talk me thru each pose so I wouldn't have to keep eyeballing my phone and lose balance!!!
