• Order with friends. Group Orders allow you to share orders with friends so they can add items into your shared basket. Name your group, set a spend limit for your guests, and share it out.

I have had issues here and there but nothing like I’ve had the last few days. I have made it clear I am unhappy with the lack of customer service and it falls on deaf ears. I had to practically beg for a refund yesterday for a completely avoidable issue. Only got half of it. Had to email back and forth today and even filed a complaint on BBB and all they said was sorry to hear that. They have ridiculously Overcharged delivery fees. For a $15 lunch or dinner order it usually cost me about $35-50 all in. They will hold money for days in your bank account even if the order doesn’t go through correctly. If you have to reorder it because of something that they did wrong they hold twice the amount of your order. I have $153 being held right now over a $15 lunch order yesterday. Better hope you don’t live paycheck to paycheck because if you do your Postmates order will tie up your money. But hey they MIGHT give you $20 of your next order if you spend 2 days complaining through email. Since they don’t have a phone number to contact, and the restaurants assume no responsibility either. Ping pong the blame back and forth while your money is tied up. There are much better apps out there with fewer issues, lower fees, and an actual customer service number. Buyer beware!
Had the Postmates app for about a year and got sick of there BS, erased the app after this last disaster. Ordering effortlessly from Grub Hub today made me wonder why I ever strayed. This most recent order mishap was the end for me. I hadn’t ordered from them in a couple months and they put a 20$ hold on my card!! LAME and that was only the beginning of the ordeal.
The app was good for about 4 months but then went downhill. My order was messed up a couple of times and hey, I get mistakes happen but what I don’t like, unlike Grub Hub they just leave you with the mess, takes a few days to get the refund. Grub Hub fixes your order and then usually gives you a few dollars off your next order. This last time I had it, they handed me a brown bag, I open it and not only is my order wrong but it’s not even from the place I ordered from. I tried to run after delivery guy with no luck and if Postmates offered live help it would have been an easy fix. The fact too that the driver may have figured it out when the person who’s order I received, received my order and I never heard a word.
The other thing is they became too shady with hidden fees and BS. Beware of their 9.99$ a month deal, that won’t happen. My boyfriend fell for it, paid the $$ and not a single order came that month without extra fees added. There’s a whole bunch of restrictions we find out after the fact that they’ll charge for.
Too many good delivery places to deal with this nonsense.

They’ve changed things (UPDATE 5/23)
This company is unprofessional. After leaving this review, my account was suspended. There’s zero contact information for a customer service line. They have to come to you. You can’t just call them, which is ridiculous. So upon doing so, they get back in about 20-30 minutes saying my account was flagged for suspicious activity and cannot be reinstated at this time. They didn’t tell me why it was suspended (what suspicious activity was apparently being done) nor why they couldn’t fix it. This is ridiculous.
You get less options and selections upon ordering. Take for example, if you order from QDoba, you should have options to add into your order because it’s all custom. You should be able to select what kind of beans, tortilla, meat, rice, etc. you don’t even get half of the options you would get in store and that doesn’t make sense. You don’t actually get to customize anything how you want it, and there’s multiple restaurants with this error. There’s no space to “add additional information” either for a sauce or something you know they have in store, but isn’t being listed as an option here. Also, the app works until you actually place your order. Then it shuts down and kicks you out of it completely to where you can’t follow the order or get in contact with someone, should you need to. This has been happening for weeks. Every time I open it, it crashes. But only after the order is made.
