Ratings and Reviews
The edition is great
I recently cancelled the paper edition and had played with the edition when I traveled. Now I use it all the time and continue to be impressed with the ease of using it as well as the reliability that I get a paper everyday and can go back to older articles that I might have missed. Not to mention that it is green. Thank-you!
No helpful tech support-stopped working
Up until a week ago it worked fine on my iPad and iPhone. I pay the monthly subscription and should have full access. It will no longer let me on. It either says my user name and password are not valid or that I am signed in on too many devices when I am on none. Tech support is worthless. Once I was told I needed to reregister my account on a PC and then I would be able to access the app on my iPad and iPhone. Made no sense, but I tried it. It didn’t work. Called back and got a different tech. He told me they had problems with the app and that it wasn’t working on any Apple devices. They were working on it and should have it fixed in a few days. A week later it still isn’t working. Called again and was told I needed to delete all Safari cookies, history, and data. Then I was to wait 15 minutes and the app would work. Made no sense. I told him that. Safari does not have anything to do with the app. He insisted it would work. I tried it and of course it didn’t work. I don’t know what else to do other than cancel my digital subscription. I have already stopped the home delivery of the paper because the delivery service was so unreliable. And “they” wonder why newspapers are losing readers!
Support local journalism
If you think the world is flat and run by reptiles and that information that suggests otherwise is part of an elite-managed simulation then you need to support local journalism. That free stuff in your feed has a cost--consensual reality and democratic engagement. It's not too late. For the price of a box of armor-penetrating rounds that you may think are the difference between your free flabby dad bod and FEMA-camp tyranny, you too could get news about the world that doesn't crib heavily from a gnostic tradition but actually lets you know how the Cardinals are doing, what cardinals are hiding, if schools are closed, and what your elected representatives are doing. The results are amazing. Get your mind out of the algorithmic information ghetto and join the rational world.
